  1. For the taller jigs with longer weedguards, the box itself can bend the weedguards slightly but I've never had an issue with it being too bad.
  2. The right side is from a plano spinnerbait box, and the left is from the crankbait box. I did a little "customizing" in the aisle at bass pro ?
  3. From fishing a couple small ponds, I'm thinking the spawn is starting to come to an end here just west of the city. Fish have become much less aggressive to intruders coming in on their beds, and are a lot more finicky. Any suggestions for bed baits? I've found several pairs of bass which I can't get to commit. Earlier in the spawn I could catch em' on a beaver style bait, or a coon tail worm rigged on a ned head. Now, I can't even get them to nose down, they seem to busy chasing bluegill and other young bass off the bed.. No luck with a warmouth, or a black/blue/watermelon/orange jig
  4. Thanks for the tip JG! I'll be over that way this afternoon trying a small little pond off some railrod tracks. Maybe I'll give it a go
  5. Another new poster here, I live in Roxbury, just southwest of the city, but I'm always trying to get out to fish. I work in the somerville area and get out 230, so if anyone wants to meet up or key me in on some spots (I'll bring a six-pack of uh.. sprite ) I'm all ears! Tryin' a small pond this afternoon
  6. 2 packs for 5.00 is tough to beat these days...
  7. Thanks guys! These things flap aroundlike no tomorrow. I like to thread the hook a little deeper than normal before exposing it, this curls the plastic and helps the craws stay pointed up.
  8. If you have them, don't fish them, and they're discontinued, I'll buy you out of them. You don't want them, they don't catch any fish, I swear......
  9. Close, but not really the flapping fall I'm looking for. These things kick to all h*** on a 3/8 jig. I can't keep them off it on the fall
  10. Who knows what these craws are called? Can't find em anywhere... been lighting em up on a local pond. I only got two left I believe they might've came out of a yellow package.. Years ago..
  11. Reviving an old thread to toss in a couple pennies.. I liked the idea I saw from this thread of using the spinnerbait plano boxes to organize jigs, but I felt it wasn't too efficient on space. I'm the kind of guy, if I'm goin fishin' and I wanna fish jigs, I grab one box and I'm good to go. This makes packing for shore fishing quicker & easier. I was able to fit 2 of the spinnerbait racks in the right side of the box, and used a crankbait insert for the left side to store plastics. The inserts are prone to lifting out of the box if you're removing a jig with a large "neck" so to speak, nothing a little double stick tape or glue couldn't handle.
  12. Hey guys, new to the forum, not new to fishing. Name's Kevin, fishing out of New england. Always open to fishing Norfolk, Middlesex, & Suffolk county, Massachussetts. Looks like there's a lot of great fishermen here and I'm happy to be a part of the community! Tight lines, sharp hooks, -KR
