  1. Assassin, more versatile reel. All you need to know buddy. Speed demon is to fast for some applications IMO.
  2. What's the cost of that puppy?!?! If you decide to stop off there on your way back ill buy one off you! I'm in Pickering
  3. d**n you got me to!
  4. Well said
  5. I'm so jealous, I will be getting a smoke s3 and tour s3 this season, just a matter of when haha I really like the feel of the vapor, reminds my of my energy reels, which I love so much
  6. In your opinion how does the new braking systems on the smoke, tour and vapor compare to the least gens braking system?
  7. I would totally rip that out for you As a friend haha
  8. Congrats and good choice! Very unique colour scheme eh hope you enjoy it buddy!! I love how they don't cost an arm and a leg to get a great feature packed reel.
  9. Pick your poison
  10. Does it do it when the drag is tightened or only backed off all the way?
  11. Now this may surprise some of you, but this isn't a picture of me personally, but I love it because these two young ladies took time away from their phones and social media to try and learn to fish! Although, I think the one needs a bit more practice on her overhead cast...
  12. Quantum is a great brand and a pleasure to use, Ive got 10 quantum reels which include 4 energy PT's, 2 first gen smokes PT, 3 second gen smokes and the Iron PT for musky. Not a single one has given me any issues, is that just luck of the draw or because I take care of them and maintain when needed? Its obvious that many anglers here are very passionate about the brands they are loyal to, and that's more then fine, I'm guilty of the same as you can tell. I just find that many bash another brand because they had a bad experience or something went wrong due to lack of maintenance, just kind of a low blow IMO. There are good and bad things with everything. I had a issue with my first daiwa, was a tatula HD and instead of complaining or bashing daiwa for it, I opened it up, fixed the issue and never said a word of it since. Now I own 3 more daiwas since then. I think more people need to give the new products a try from quantum and I feel like they will be really surprised with the performance that is delivered from any product that they choose to use.
  13. Well said A jay!!! Awesome trip btw
  14. The Vapor feels really nice, I think that's what they replaced the energy pt reels with. The energy reels are incredible reels, love all mine. If this is the successor then I would have any doubts purchasing one.
  15. Fishing brings people together!! That's awesome what you are doing buddy! Your making everyone here proud
  16. I'm sure you can find a great replacement buddy
  17. Bet you wish you picked up more now eh haha
  18. Meeeeee toooooo
  19. This thread wasn't intended for negative feedback. It is to help anyone that is interested in something find out more from a hands on user. FYI the gear doesn't make you a better angler.
  20. Ya, or you can just give the reel a good wash down with clean water and lube it back up. Works for me! I kinda like the fact that they are using different materials for the pinion and main gear.
  21. Hey there guys, I've been eyeing the new S3 baitcasting reels and found a couple reviews by the boys at tackletour, just wanted to share them with everyone if your interested in the new gear! http://www.tackletour.com/reviewquantumsmokes3cast.html http://www.tackletour.com/reviewquantumtours3cast.html
  22. Not really a lews guy, but I can respect what they offer, i just sold my BB1 Pro but my thought on it are still very high. I find lews are build very solid and are seem like they can take a beating. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another.
  23. Have you tried contacting okuma? I'm sure they have stock.
