I am a big supporter of quantum products, here in the GTA most shops focus on shimano I find. Not many shops big or small carry much quantum products. One or two models that's about it. I've had 7 smoke reels gen 1, 2 and 3 and 4 gen 2 energy reels and loved them all. I'm excited for the new energy reels to come out! I really do wish they had better marketing. Just kinda feels like they want the pros to do everything for then. Also great customer service!!!

Maybe try and make adjustments to your Texas rig technique, get better at it and you might have better luck with that over the c rig

Love them, I use them everytime I go out. I make my own and like them much better then store bought because I can make them to the specs and colors I like.

Canadians finally something for us! Wal-Mart.ca has oakleys on clearance atm. Just picked some up.

So I just got the new Kastking Spartacus out on the water and hooked in to many fish! Was working great till I went to cast and the thumb bar clicked back up but the spool kept letting out line then handle was turning and it sounded like the pinion and main gear were grinding a bit. I reeled it back in and same thing happened. Reeled back in and it fished fine but now there is a very geary noise when reeling in. Happened a couple more times today so I think I may be sending it back for an exchange. Also sounds like it has a bad spool bearing. It fishes really well though so I'm kinda upset about this... Hopefully they won't make me pay for return shipping on an exchange or anything due to equipment failure... What could be causing this issue?

Maybe your tightening it so much that the bearings is pushing against the pinion? Or binding.

The noise is just the brakes working. Light oil around the surface that the brakes run on and you.should be good.
