  1. I'd use the SLX over a lews or abu in the same price range.
  2. I'm getting one myself shortly! The curado bfs is a much needed budget bfs reel from shimano for us over here. I've have gotten to test one out but from playing around with a buddies I am impressed! What are you going to be using it for?
  3. It seems like a great rod for squarebills and lighter lipless cranks. Should handle them just fine.
  4. Dressed up some #6 owner hooks for a customer. Requested lots of flash, he has good taste! Wish I could upload better pictures but not to sure how.
  5. I'd go by what shimanos site in regards to lure rating
  6. I was super interested in picking one up, I got to the store and was playing with them. I love how they feel, nice and soft! Didn't pull the trigger yet, wait8ng till weather warms up
  7. You sure you spooled it correctly?
  8. It's gotta add up pretty quick for those tournament guys
  9. That awkward moment when you realize a shimano reel can out last a ford
  10. Some guys like faster line pick up with specific baits, I've heard slow is better for bucktail/spinner type baits and faster for swimbaits. I might have that backwards though but you get the point.
  11. My wife could fit so many cookies in those
  12. Ill make it quick and sweet guys, I've wanted one for a while, going to pick one up. Fishing in mostly clear to stained water. 1. Are they worth it 2. Standard or jr version 3. Best pattern for all purpose Thanks for the help!
  13. I always keep them oiled a little bit, nothing worse then really needing that one bearing, only to find its seized up on you
  14. Highly recommend, hard to find right now.
  15. Best curado reel ever made in my opinion. I've used the heck out of my 7 speed, even more then my metanium mgl B.
  16. Not being discontinued, just hard to get any stock. Rumour has it they will be updating the tranx 500 because the most resent releases from daiwa really did a number on sales of it. Again this is just what I’ve heard.
  17. I love it to be honest
  18. Lol guys, let's keep this about the new bantam, I'm really interested in hearing more about this reel, not about who can make a lighter reel. DM each other and discuss there or else you'll most likely get this thread shut down, and that's not fair to the poster.
  19. The look of the levante rods, in their price range, cannot be beat. But looks aren't everything. I have the 6'10m zodias rod, it was my absolute most used rod this past season. It's super light weight, very sensitive, very comfortable to fish with for 8+ hours due to the new handle design and reel seat. The blank on the zodias rods have never left me feeling worried about throwing something at the top end of the lure rating, never a problem with the rod twisting, you can really feel the difference the x wrap makes. If it makes any difference, the new curado rods are essentially the last generation zodias rods, with the same blank and upgraded guides. They are 50 bucks cheaper here in Canada then the zodias and in my opinion, the most featured friendly rod in its price range. Also comes in most of the same actions as the zodias rods, even some new ones!!!
  20. How many km is that though? Asking for my fellow Canadians ????
  21. First off, you can never go wrong with a curado. Its a great reel and a very versitile reel. The mgl spools are great for getting the most out of your casts, super easy to adjust and worry free! You will not be disappointed .
  22. 7'4 glass rod is a fun rod to use. The SLX line of rods feel great.
  23. At that price I say yes, at full price I say E6next.
