  1. I get mine sometimes and its hit and miss on whether the vaccine you get is for the current strain of virus going around. http://www.cdc.gov/flu/professionals/vaccination/virusqa.htm
  2. I have the Type-R and got in through an Etailer for $130 delivered, for out of box smoothness, casting distance, and drag performance its pretty impressive, Zillion like, have yet to try the new Zillion TWS, I am sure its the cat's meow.
  3. Anytime anyone goes to Orlando, I suggest you bring a fishing rod with a spinner-bait or a worm! Most large hotels and resorts have retention ponds and canals and if you get early enough you can fish them no problem. Full of HAWGS too. I lived in Orlando for 3 years and it was some of the best bank fishing ever!
  4. I was out there this weekend, did you happen to see a black truck towing a white ranger bass boat while bank fishing, I remember looking at a couple of guys early in the AM and on the way back early afternoon. I fished the back canal (Miami Canal) and ended up catching about 20 up to 4lbs.
  5. I meant detecting leaks once the bleeder valves are tightened, by turning lock to lock and checking everything. I cover the end of the hoses bleeding back into container with a cheese cloth to strain out any particulate impurities if any. If fluid is compromised due to water intrusion or mixing of oils from a previous tech work than cheese cloth does you no good. I've done both and the will most likely go back to the original method as mentioned next time, since as you stated if piston stays in the middle position instead of end position the air doesn't come out. Nevertheless, I used the method on the first post this last time and was successfull, most likely since I had no to very little air in system and was just topping off the helm station to correct level. Thanks!
  6. So you recommend this way, the way I use to do it (see link below)? What you say makes sense about the piston part you talked about and not moving air trapped in piston if it stays in one position. Another issue maybe not detecting possible leaks.
  7. This beats the regular way and you don't need a helper! Tried it and it works!
  8. I bet you miss the Gheenoe sometimes!
  9. Man at the beginning of the season predictions, OH was not even on my radar, thinking Michigan State would win the conference. Nevertheless, the Buckeyes surprised me! Three deep at QB, NFL caliber running back, what more can you ask for. Heck of a win last night and with authority against a high powered offense, or should I say what I thought was the nation's best offense (no crying about having the number one receiver out Duck fans). The BIG TEN is the real deal, in my opinion between the Spartans and OSU they will be contenders for next year's college playoffs! Congrats Buckeyes!
  10. 4 Stroke 4 sure! I would pic an Opti for peformance in the 250 Class, but would stick to 4 stroke for all other choices. Consider the Honda also, if that is on the list.
  11. If you are biological tinkerer than I would choose the pond with land. If you are a competitive tournament type than the boat. From a long-term fiscal perspective the land wins hands down (http://www.nass.usda.gov/Publications/Todays_Reports/reports/land0814.pdf) If you are smart, which it seems you are based on your blog and interest, than why not have both, and most likely you will have both in due time. Think BIG! Why not have the shiny new Legend, Pheonix, Bass Cat, Ranger, Triton, Bullet, etc. and the land with the custom pond that you manage, its not too far out of reach, just make sure you choose a career field where all is possible or work for yourself. If you really like pond management look into biology and be the next Bob Lusk, working for yourself doing what you like to do for others! http://www.in.gov/dnr/fishwild/5450.htm http://education-portal.com/articles/List_of_the_Best_Wildlife_Biology_Schools_and_Programs.html
  12. I am talking about right here, right now and into the future. If you go back far enough you will see Hurricanes and Nebraska dominance in the 80s-90s, so it was intended as a what have you done for me lately statement. Does the SEC as a conference dominate, is it superior to the ACC, BIG 10, or BIG 12 ? Based on year end results, it is relatively equal, I'd put the top 3 in each conference against each other and would have a hard time accepting that the SEC would win outright in a round robin against the other conference top 3. (Bama, Ms St, Ole Miss, vs Wisconsin, OH State, Michigan State (Big 10) and/or Clemson, GT, FSU (ACC), TCU, Baylor, Kansas State (Big 12). I just can't see the SEC continuing to be the powerhouse for 2015, 2016 and beyond, the competition is stiff! In the end its about an individual program not the conference it emerged from.
  13. I would say that the Big Ten with Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Ohio State should be proud of what they have accomplished! Same goes for the ACC this year Clemson, Georgia Tech, and the Seminoles. The SEC isn't as dominant as people say anymore (I was a SEC backer, but I can admit I was wrong) especially after seeing them drop games against "lower" Power 5 conference teams. The only outlier here is Oregon, very weak conference and a very good football team, in my opinion the 2014 National Champions. So go ahead SEC fans, make a logical arguement that the conference is best in football.......
  14. Time to revisit the thread!
  15. I was casting baitcasters at 5, was throwing a castnet at 8.Sea trout, snook, bass, dolphin, sailfish, etc. if it had fins I pursued it. So I guess its in my blood....natural!
  16. I have seen relatively new engines blow that were properly maintained, and I have seen engines that you wonder what the owner was thinking regarding maintenance have well over 5 K HOURS (Tohatsu 140) ! So its tough to say, but I think if you maintain your engine you can't go wrong 2 or 4 stroke! However, if I had to only choose one for ultimate dependability I think it would be a 4 stroke outboard Yamaha, Honda, or Suzuki.
  17. Dwight how about the Musky?
  18. Yup great round have a .308 now and you cant go wrong with it
  19. So the weight is 6 lbs 6.4 oz which is equal to 6.4 lbs! Wow, pictures are deceiving. To be exact its 6lbs 6 2/5 ozs, lol! Nice fish and what matters is your memory of the catch, who cares about all of our opinions, it was fun playing the guess game though. I was off by 1lb 2 2/5 ozs, it is a brown fish though!
  20. I get comments all the time about my Tough Skin motor cover, my favorite was from a guy that said you know you will burn your motor up if you keep running it with the cover on it after I already explained to him it was designed to protect cowling and the motor could be run with it on. However the the silliest comment ever was made by ME, while running Lake Okeechobee with my buddy Brett. I said, "You have to be careful here (Inidan Praire Canal) as you run across it during low water conditions cause you can run aground and its hard bottom"........moments later I run the boat aground while crossing it, thankfully I was idiling.
  21. You guys were like hawgs in _ _ _ , catching HAWGS! Wow, nice job!
  22. Dwight, man what can I say you keep laying the smack down on the HAWGS, of brown and green types! Congrats, now lets try to beat the PB soon!
  23. Lexa, hands down. If you can afford the extra upcharge try to get the Tatula, its a great reel, best bang for the buck in my opinion! For about $95 shipped you can get a signifcanlty upgraded reel vs the Lexa (TWS and Air Rotation). I have a Tatula Type R and reach for it more than some of the higher end reels I own! http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/129279-tatula-vs-lexa/
  24. I am saddened to hear that BPS has purchased Ranger, Stratos, and Triton.
