  1. I fished with Steve Daniels as a teenager and will recommend him to anyone who wants to fish the Lake!
  2. AWESOME Can't wait for it to be online, should be extremely entertaining!
  3. Interesting that you should ask about this, Mike and I (Hawg Tech, LLC) just went through the same process you are going through. If you send me a PM I will give you my number and see if I can walk you through the process.
  4. Dwight is that your Antares HG? I love my Metanium Mg, it is my T-rig/Loomis GLX combo and I can cast a country mile with it!
  5. Went back out to the humps on Thursday butterfly jigging and absolutely wrecked the black-fin tuna, once we got back to the dock I was filleting them up and guess who came by for a circle hook/tuna skin snack?
  6. Permit fight as good as they taste, nice catch!
  7. I need to schedule some fishing time with the retiree! I am liking your week day fishing schedule and your boat! By the way what did you power that beauty with? Congrats and enjoy!
  8. I have been down here for about 10 days now and between lobstering, inshore, and offshore fishing I am wore out. I found this great spot in Everglades National Park that has some constant Seatrout action. A spot off "the hump" for blackfin tuna, that we have had an issue with dolphin of the flipper kind eating the tuna on way up. Also, bully netted some lobster during mini-season that we ate with some steak tips, MMMM. Gotta love Florida! If I get a good tide I am gong to go after some tarpon for some rod bending, fish jumping action!
  9. Shane, Seems like it was an eon ago that we filmed that show! Again thanks for the opportunity and invite to help you guys out filming, it still blows me away how much work goes into filming enough content for the show. Now go catch some HAWGS! Below is a pic of Eric, Justin (co-owner of Bullet) and I after the filming.
  10. Hello all, Mike and I decided to partner up to form a business centered around our favorite hobby bass fishing! As you can imagine we tossed around many ideas we believe we found a niche with our handles. I am a tackle junky like many of you and have tried many reels, from hard to find JDM reels to the latest offerings for our American bass market. I have also tried aftermarket reel handles from Japan such as ZPI and Bass Art, and have been impressed with their performance over stock/factory handles, but the price seemed high even to an enthusiast like me. Nevertheless, these experiences as well as fishing with the equipment 2-3 days/week helped us in our product design. I believe that if fished on a consistent basis side by side you will notice that our Hawg Handle is more comfortable with its larger custom made cork knobs, stronger due to carbon fiber thickness and knob spidle design, and offers more leverage without being too long and cumbersome. I have been fishing prototypes for some time now and can tell you that when I pick up reels without the handle on it I can't wait to change it out. Lastly, I would like to not only thank bass resource for providing a venue to share knowledge about fishing, but also fellow forum members for helping with feedback in the development and field testing of our handle. Tight lines to all and thanks for your support! Signing out from the Keys going to try fishing for blackfin tuna this morning and land a HAWG using my Hawg Handle equiped Daiwa Pluton!

  12. Of course it has to be compared as percentage, did you read the articles?
  13. People get arrested everyday that are not NFL players! Here is an interesting study on NFL arrest, it is older (1999), but the conclusions may surprise you. http://www.stat.duke.edu/~dalene/chance/chanceweb/123.nflviol.pdf Another article on arrest of athletes vs general public http://sports.yahoo.com/top/news?slug=ycn-10293063
  14. That is what I call HAWGING! Nice catch! Great post for a new forum member! Welcome to the best bass fishing forum on the Web!
  15. Went out Sunday for a few hours with my brother and found the HAWGS
  16. Maybe Storms motto should be "Don't get caught in a Storm at the Big O" So get a BIG O! All kidding aside, those light weight boats including my Bullet are very weight sensitive and additional floatation on the stern is needed. There is a manufacturer out there that has a buoyant jack plate to help relieve or eliminate backwash.
  17. Count me in! Have a pretty busy schedule here the next couple of weeks since I will be headed to the Keys, but I am in, maybe we can relocate some of those fatties to another secret hide away?
  18. Glad you had a successful outing, the East wind helps. Heard the Bonita are thick, they can be lots of fun on lighter gear. Were there plenty out there? Know if only we can get rid of the beat up part.....
  19. ICAST was a blast! I had a great time networking and seeing all the goodies! I would like to thank fellow board members, Glenn, Bobby, Shane, Mike, and Steve for all your help in making contacts that can help Mike and I in the future, this community truly is great!
  20. At least when it is hot you can outrun the heat,.... not really it just makes it feel like a blow dryer, high speed blow dryer.
  21. That parabug looks COOOL
  22. Bruce, did he catch the biggest mudder too? Mike can always land the big'uns, cool trip!
  23. Spanking if done correctly is an effective method of behavioral correction, the problem is when you spank out of anger, don't explain the reason for the spanking or the behavior continues after the spanking. With my son it takes one time, I explain to him why he will be getting a spanking, why the behavior is unacceptable after being warned verbally and then the spanking with my bare hand. I am no lawyer, but for those of you not familiar with the laws on either side of the argument of whether or not spanking is illegal read this: http://kidjacked.com/legal/spanking_law.asp
  24. Nothing like Summer bass fishing on the Lake if you can take the heat, Bruce put it to them. Bruce was it your typical open water pattern for this time of year, with bass out on the rocks?
