  1. Way to go guys! I know Dwight's fish wasn't the biggest picture, but he sure makes it LOOK the biggest of all, A-Jay on your pics in the gallery, how did you get the bass to fan the dorsal fins so nicely, great pics! I will be joining in on your trip in a year or two, since I have another son on the way during PRIME TIME.
  2. You think the wife would approve or is too ugly? http://autos.yahoo.com/blogs/motoramic/callaway-2014-corvette-stingray-aerowagon-concept-gets-tongues-173525558.html
  3. I can relate, especially after making long runs in a FAST boat, that is why I fish my lead sled Ranger more often, I am sure Dwight can elaborate.
  4. What many of the Northerners don't realize that although the BIG bass are usually caught here Jan-March, the chances for catching instead of fishing are best a little later since the weather doesn't play as much havoc with the trip. Yes, there are many parts of the Lake that shelter you from the conditions, but EVERYONE is going to be there especially during the weekend. My favorite time is just about now through the Summer months when the HOT weather keeps even locals off the lake. Enjoy your trip while you are down, shoot me a PM and maybe I can take you out also.
  5. Have you ever met, spoken to, or hung out with Ike, Skeet, or E3? They aren't "cocky D Bags". Skeet was more than willing to talk about his experience fishing Lake Okeechobee during his last tournament down here and shared information. Ike actually went out of his way to take pictures and sign a couple of autographs for my son and during weigh-in a couple of years ago and was a pleasure speaking with at iCast in 2010 and 2012 and E3 is more cordial than a Southern gentleman at church. Those guys are great, not saying that all Bassmaster guys are like that, but from my experience most are down to earth guys like you and I.
  6. If he had a personality like Gerald or Ike then he would be more marketable and make more $$$ through sponsorship, but somehow I don't think that bothers "Cool Hand Cliff!"
  7. Was fishing at 4 with my brother.
  8. Just bought a .40 S&W caliber CZ P-06, basically a compact version of CZ's world renowned 75 series pistol. I am already thinking of "tuning" it through CZ's custom shop. They have a custom tuned P-01, a 9mm version, that I have been eying for awhile, but since I have a Sig P226 in .40 S&W don't want to have another caliber to buy ammo for especially now. Here is a link to the custom shop p-01, which I would like my p-06 to resemble: http://czcustom.com/czcompactsadablksdp.aspx
  9. Its all relative, no one is better than you because of X Y, or Z, especially when it comes to emotion. Cliff's name should be "Cool handed Cliff"
  10. Too funny I was thinking Chase as in the field was chasing him!
  11. !Congratulations to Cliff Pace! His lead of 7lbs was too much for the field to overcome and he only brought 4 fish and only needed 8lbs and 4 ozs, which he passed by 4lbs. My heart goes out to Hank Cherry, the video of him losing the Hawg boat-side left the crowd and him speechless! Brandon is the real deal, so far so fast, looking forward to seeing him flourish, regardless of whether he sleeps in the back of his Toyota Tundra, lol!
  12. Rock River Arms are great if you can get ahold of one! I wanted a Coyote Special model before the Sandy Hook disaster and should have bought one!
  13. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ This guy knows what he is talking about! If it fits you look at the CZ 75B compact in double action, great gun.

  15. In my opinion it is really tough to judge whether the endorsement is genuine or business related. Unless, you personally know the "pro" then their endorsement is just as good as the next guy. Nevertheless, I believe that "most" people are good at heart and recommend products they have used and have been successful with regardless of whether they are a pro or not, call me gullible. Remember the helicopter lure and the pros that endorsed them?
  16. You need some GO GO GADGET ARMS! Nice fish!
  17. What is amazing is all the similar looking ducks in S. America, went there recently and was floored looking at the hunting lodge pics!
  18. Right handed for almost all applications other than pitching and flipping where the rod sweep/set-up needs to be in the "strong hand" immediately, e.g. when the jig is hit immediately on a pitch or flip.
  19. Nice outing,
  20. Yes, I have owned plenty of St. Croix premiers, avids, etc. I would say the rod might suffice if you are using swimming frogs such as the horny toad and working it in and around sparse cover, but if you are using it with hollow bodied frogs such as the Spro in heavier cover, I would personally use it on a heavier acton rod. As far a a topwater or cranking rod it should do suffice. I think it would be an exellent jerkbait rod! If I were to pick a St. Croix Premier rod for heavier cove I would go with this model: Model: PC610HMF http://www.stcroixrods.com/product/premier-casting
  21. Tough INDEED! Between higher water levels, fierce winds, and muddy water I am not surprised. I too will be on the Lake when the action is good, which I assume will be very soon, we need to have some steady wheather conditions, the national tournament guys to move on, and some dry weather to stop runoffs. This should settle the lake back down a bit and the bite should be on. The big'uns are out there though and can be caught with SHINERS, too bad they don't allow that for tournaments, lol. I have been lucky since I have a couple of bites working locally, but would really like to be fishing the LAKE more often.
  22. Great story! Really? That only got you some snags, a couple of lost jigs and missed oppurtunities,,,,lol
  23. I know you! Hugh great to have you onboard with Bass Resource, its been awhile. I need to get up to the Stick Marsh soon!
  24. Lake Wellington is EXCELLENT, so are all the canals in the community. Send me a PM and I will tell you the best one or at least the one I have had the most succcess off.
