I always have a jig rod and a t-rig rod at the ready. I start with a jig. Reason being that when I got back into hardcore bass fishing a few years back I used t-rigs and caught bass. Nothing big and figured there weren't big bass where I was fishing. I decided to try jigs anyway and started catching much bigger bass in those same locations......now I start with the jig first.........if it's not catching I'll try the t-rig.
I'm not saying you can't catch big bass on t-rigs, my PB is on a t-rig,,,,,,but I'm betting numbers 19-20 are mainly on a jig of some sort.
