The time it takes to hookup and unhook the chargers is extremely minimal. Less than two min on each end. The peace of mind and not having battery problems is well worth the time to me.
I got totally away from onboard chargers, all I have ever owned have failed at some point. I only use the Schumacher chargers now. No battery issues in years.
I'm not sure the models, as it has been quite some time. I know I had two two bank chargers and a three bank charger that all went out. Also I was wrong when I said I never had a NOCO. The last onboard charger I owned was a NOCO. It dropped one of the three.
I am not a fan of onboard chargers. I have had several different brands and they have all failed and caused me battery problems. I got away from them all together. I use three Schumacher ShipNshore chargers and they always work and I do not have any battery problems. It may take maybe two more minutes to hook up, but not having problems is definitely worth it. And it will save you some weight. Just my opinion.
God bless and good fishing

I use 14lb braid (your choice of brand) and a Fluorocarbon leader about ten feet (your choice of brand) 6, 8 or 10 depending on the water clarity and cover I am fishing I try to go with the heaviest I can get away with and still get bites. I like my Berkley 100% Fluorocarbon but everyone has there preferences.

I think it is situational. I use both braid and mono. I do not like braid for walking baits I have trouble with the slack getting caught on the hooks, its not near as bad with mono. but other baits I love the braid, especially on long cast. Just never use Fluorocarbon on top but you probably know already .
God bless and good fishing
