  1. Fishing some clear northern water and I know the spinnerbait bite is good. If I use tandem willowleaf blades through the weeds can I use a good and silver blade or should I go with 2 silver blades? Does it matter?
  2. Favorite pond baits? Looking for something that could work most places.
  3. Blade combinations/ model?
  4. I fish a lake in Michigan with about 6 or 7 feet of visibility and weeds. The main forage is small minnows and bluegills with no shad in the lake. I throw a 1/8 oz. white spinnerbait and they have been slamming it. Could I upgrade to a white 1/4 or 3/8 oz. for bigger fish or would that not work because there are not shad in the lake.
  5. What is your favorite Plano box that can hold anything from spinnerbait and terminal tackle to hard baits? Looking for something around the 3700 size to hold a lot and I want this box to be versatile. Any recommendations?
  6. I just ordered a baitcaster and I've already had some practice with one and I almost have the hang of it. I have some questions about casting distance. 1. Should I always set the tension knob to the bait I'm using so that it fall slowly to the ground every time I change a bait or should I let off a bit to increase the distance. 2. What effects distance more the brakes or the tension knob?
  7. Any suggestions on a good budged rod? Looking for a 7ft Medium heavy for my first baitcasting setup and was thinking of spending $80-$100. Any suggestions would be great.
  8. Ohio I had some time on my hands today and decided to call around at a couple different apartment complexes. One has about 15 ponds and the other has only 1 large pond. I will give that a try for now and switch it up if needed. Thanks for the advice!
  9. Been fishing the same pond for a while and it produces very few smaller sized fish. Wondering what tips you all could give me on finding ponds and asking for permission to fish them? Also in he case of a neighborhood pond what is the best way to go about fishing it? If there are no signs am I good to go or do I need to get permission from a resident?
  10. Only thing I have found that works so far is 4 and 5 inch green pumpkin senkos wacky rigged. I have casted all over the pond and worked all of the spots thoroughly. I've found they are usually in deep water towards the fountain or next to the rocky part on one side. Also there are bluegill and minnows I think they are feeding on.
  11. Been fishing a pond for about a year but I feel like I'm still figuring it out. I'll catch maybe 3 on a good day but I feel like I could be more productive. It's got reeds surrounding a good portion of it and a fountain in the middle. It also has a rocky shore on one side of it.
  12. I tried looking at it but it seems to be very outdated and difficult to read. Where can I find a decent paper map or online map?
  13. Wondering where I can find a basic map of a lake I wanted to fish in Michigan. There is a map online but it's pretty rough. What tips can you give me to find a decent paper map or a lake? Also should I try one online such as navionics?
  14. Thinking about buying a new casitas. Only thing that's holding me back is the breaking system. I've watched videos on how to adjust them but none of them talked about adjusting a system like the casitas were there were only 4 breaks. What are the possible ways I could adjust this? Could I do 3 on and 1 off or 1 on and 3 off or does it have to be even as in all on or 2 on 2 off?
  15. If you were to use a 7ft medium power rod would you choose a moderate or moderate fast action for square bill fishing. I would use kvd 1.5s and other small crankbaits such as that.
