  1. ~laughin~ ..here in Bama' as a "slang" term, BOURGEOIS typically depicts a person who prefers the TOP TIER products in life, be that cars, jewelry, clothes, atmosphere, etc and turns their noses down at the simple and 'cheap' things in life... ...and that's Outlet Bait & Tackle...!! https://www.overstockbait.com/?gclid=CjwKEAjwjPXIBRDhwICRg-DbgHISJADP6QXpWW7wXzOtUFrYgiiszAn98p4TNXaqQ5swj7Xkw68TxxoChIvw_wcB
  2. ..I know a LOT of you experienced anglers are already in the KNOW, and have the inside track on every deal going, but this is for the FEW who might miss a GOOD deal in the narrow window provided...!! ..these lures on sale are quality, and even if they ARE beneath some of you angler's bourgeois standards, they make AWESOME stocking stuffers or extra lures in the box for friends & family that you don't want throwing your $180 Deps 250...!! ..that being said, the Savage Gear 3D Rat has already went back to its original price, when they were selling it for $4.95 - that's how FAST these $ale$ are - just figured I'd share since, try as I did, I just could NOT buy everything they had...!! ...tight lines, gals & guys...!!
  3. ..hmmmm...I'd have to say it was a tie between the Helicopter Lure and the first attempt Mitchell made at a split handle casting rod - the rod was BEAUTIFUL, guys, but snapped in three places upon hookset on the 'only' fish it ever caught, a very chunky 3-lber I had to pull in by hand over the shrapnel left in its wake...the Heli' lures...?? ...nuff' said there. ?
  4. ...g'evening y'all..!! ..just wanted to say hello, and express my happiness at finding a site full of so many diverse & knowledgeable anglers...!! I'm retired Navy, and just moved back home(Alabama) after a 25yr hiatus in Va, with a brief stint in NH..trying to reconnect with my old roots here, find new fishing spots, adjust to Southern bassin' and learn a new career is trying on these old bones, but luckily, after stumbling on your site a few weeks back and tweaking a few techniques, I'm amazed at how my hook-up ratio has steadily risen...slowly, to be sure, but UP no doubt..!! ..I hope to learn a lot from the members and VAST amount of experience, tips, techniques, and knowledge represented here, and hopefully, donate a bit of my own - once again, here's to new & future friendships, and thanks again for having me..!! - Woody
  5. ...it's about perspective - you're NOT gonna break anything off with Spiderwire Braid UNLESS your knot-tying skills are very subpar - cast away...!! (headed to Wally World tomorrow - hope I get lucky!!)
  6. So many choices, so little years in a lifetime to try em' all...!! No# 1 ----> Zoom Super Fluke (Glimmer Blue) 2 Lake Fork 'LIVE' Magic Shad (Albino) 3 Berkley 7" Power Worm (Blue Firetail) 4 Strike King 3X Zero (Bubblegum) 5 Zoom Fat Albert Twin Tail Grub (Black) 6 Zoom Magnum Finesse Worm (Grn Pump) 7 Roboworm 7" Straight Tail (ANY color!!) 8 D&M Punch Craw (Oxblood) 9 Middle Baits Baby D Bomb (Super Bug) 10 Berkley 4" Power Worm (Black) ...and still experimenting...tight lines, y'all...!!
