    <p>
    I have been fishing in a local club since 2016. We are called Roadrunner Bass Club and we are located in Lutcher, LA which is about halfway between Baton Rouge and New Orleans. We fish mostly in southeast Louisiana but we do make a week-long trip to Toledo Bend every year at the end of March or early April.

  1. First of all congrats to Catt for the tagged fish and the truck win. Question for Catt or anyone else. Catt, I have read through this thread a couple of times and I love your idea about keeping your boat in 15' of water +-3' for most of the year to be a consistent angler. I agree with that and it makes lots of sense. But, you said that you do this year around except during the spawn. So my question is during the spawn, what do you do for the most consistent way to catch fish day in and day out? Thanks in advance for your input and advise and for starting this incredible thread!!
  2. My partner and I fished the Indian Mounds area Friday and caught our limit on wacky rigs. We were beating the banks, but the key was to find banks within casting distance of 12-15 ft of water. My partner had a 8.21 and all of the rest were under 3 lbs. Some of our other friends caught them on flukes but they had all smaller fish. They wanted it really slow after the storm Wed-Thur. Tight lines!!
  3. The reason that I am asking is because I will be coming up to The Bend on Sunday and staying for a week with our little club. I know the full moon will be approaching and the spawn should be taking place. I also know there will be thousands of boats beating the bank, so I am willing to try an alternative. I also know that the lake is up and these possible humps will have more water on them. But, with all that said, I have not ever done this and I have very limited knowledge of the Bend. I know there are some fine folks on here that I have read there posts time and again who are much more experienced on this lake than I am. Just looking for options.
  4. Is there a percentage of bass that will spawn on the humps out in open water and not on the bank? If so, what do you guys think that percentage would be and how deep do you think this spawning would take place in? Thanks in advance for you valuable response to this question. God Bless!!
  5. So Catt, would you give us a little insight as to how you fish this little jewel? I am all ears.
  6. Blaster is wearing them out!! Good for you. My son loves to throw a Spro frog but you have been doing more damage with a Ribbit if I am correct. Have you tried a Spro Frog?
