From reading your question, I was wondering if you ever heard of punctuation. I suggest the Sol or Chronarch 50mg if you're looking for a reel to cast small baits. Both reels have plenty of power but also cast the lightweight baits. That being said, don't forget a quality rod that is suited for throwing small baits.

Good customer service? I wouldn't call it good. Good would be sending you an extra bait. Simply sending a replacement should be routine.

You have several board members living in my area who are very experienced at fishing, be it bass or saltwater species. Look me up if you make it to Palm Beach County. We can go to lake Okeechobee and Loxahatchee Wildlife Refuge. We can also fish a 75 acre private shell rock pit where we'll catch more bass in one day than you'll catch in ANY public lake in Florida. Biggest so far is 9.13, average is 2-5 pounds. Most in one day is 141 in 7 hours between 2 people. I also have a 19' Tracker we can use. The only draw drawbacks to Florida fishing in January is the wind and occasional cold front. The wind can be 17+ mph with gusts up to 25mph for several days and some years we experience severe cold fronts. I can generally work around the wind and still catch fish but the cold fronts can shut the fishing down for a day or so.

I throw them year round with great success.

I would strongly recommend the Chronarch 50 mg, if you can find one in good shape. They are discontinued but are one of my fav's. You can find them from $180-225.

Comparing the NRX to the GLX is like comparing the GLX to a 2x4. The NRX is that much more lighter and sensitive. The GLX is more brittle than the NRX because of the new material the NRX is made of. Generally, the lighter and more sensitive the rod means it is more prone to breaking.
