I somewhat agree. These rods are mass produced, so if you want "close to perfection," then have it custom made. But, even then, something could still wrong.
You said Loomis was going to fix the problem and you didn't have to use the wild card, that's because it's a manufacturers defect. Seems to me Loomis is standing behind there product 100%.
I fish nothing but Loomis and have never received a damaged or "sloppy" made rod. Sht happens, but I'm confident Loomis will make it right.
