  1. Look here http://www.gloomis.com/publish/content/gloomis_2010/us/en/conventional/rods/trout___panfish_rods/classic_trout___panfish.html Not under the Classic. Pay attention or go sit in the corner :D
  2. Ok, I see where we got confused. I said the SR782, which is rated light, not the SJR782. Look here http://www.gloomis.c...___panfish.html Not under the Classic. Pay attention or go sit in the corner :D
  3. Is it possible to extend the handle to my Loomis cranking rod an additional 3-4 inches? For some reason, Loomis makes the handles on their cranking rods too darn short. I was thinking you could epoxy a piece blank into the butt section or will that not work? And NO, I'm not buying a different brand rod.
  4. I agree 6 and 7 year olds need to have a different set of rules, or should have, but, IMO, 8 and 9 year olds need to play by the same basic rules as H.S. Exception would be shorter base paths, closer pitching mound, having to wait x amount of days before pitching again, etc. I know in T-ball, and MAYBE coach pitch, the play is dead once the ball gets to the infield and the player holds the ball up in the air, regardless of where the runner is. If the runner is half way to the next base then he gets that base but can't keep going.
  5. Nope. I have such a close relationship with my rods that I identify them faster by glancing at them then using a piece of tape. Kind of like parents knowing which name goes to which twin.
  6. Has anyone seen my laugh because I can't find it. TWO big thumbs down for this one, sorry
  7. .
  8. Will you take $185 for it and then you can buy another one?
  9. I thought you were an old school cocaine cowboy by the title of your thread. :D
  10. Don't you mean for your title to read "Notise too long mike?" :D
  11. Why should the base runner be penalized because the fielder can't catch or throw. Sounds to me there's a player on the field playing because he HAS to be allowed to play, even though he sucks. Learn to play at practice or get your ars whooped during game time.
  12. Really? You might want to let Loomis know that. Apparently they missmarked their rods because mine is rated light.
  13. Beautiful fish. Seems like the top water bite is in full swing. I've been doing very well with it too. Perhaps we should have a member outing before the weather gets too hot. I propose south end of Lox in the next week or so.
  14. Oh great. I can see it now. "This thread is being locked due to an abundance of misspelled words and improper use of the English language."
  15. Cool idea. I didn't know they could/would offer that service. I'm so wasted right now from the anesthesia, hahaha. I have no idea why some people like getting high. Yea, I feel happy but I'm bouncing off the walls when I try walking. I hate not being in control of myself. The doctor said everything looks fine but have a minor issue of acid reflux.
  16. Check this out and get your bid in. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270729171351&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.com%3A80%2F%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dp5197.m570.l1313%26_nkw%3D270729171351%2B%26_sacat%3DSee-All-Categories%26_fvi%3D1&_rdc=1

  18. Hmmmm, we're here without much difficulty. Go find an 8 year old kid to help ya log in . I say that with humor because I find kids these days are superior than most when it comes to computers.
  19. I was a certified umpire for little league and high school. I was just getting into college umpiring before I went into the police academy. That was many years ago, but unless the rules changed then the kids can run all day until the play is dead. And calling defense time out won't end the play as long as runners are in motion. 8 and 9 year old kids should be making accurate throws and catches at that age anyway. You better step up your coaching, Coach. One more thing, from experience as a baseball player who played the game (pitcher) 365 from 7 yrs old all the way through college. DO NOT have your 8 and 9 year old kids throwing curve balls. 1st of all, there arms aren't developed at that age to handle that kind of motion. #2. There aren't too many coaches at that level who know the proper way of throwing a curve ball and end up teaching the kid the wrong way, which results in injury.
  20. I'm having an Upper Endoscopy done at 6:30am and I hate being knocked out. I'm trying to talk the doctor in to letting me stay awake during the procedure, 10-20 minutes. There's just something about having a complete stranger administer me drugs to knock me out when it's not a dire emergency. Has anyone ever had this done without sedatives? This will be my 2nd time but I was knocked out for the first.
  21. Using braid is not considered ultralite, IMO. Using 2 and 4 pound mono is.
  22. Best bass boat, IMO, is one that'll do 50-65mph, get great gas mileage, can run in a foot of water, be driven through cat tails and grass to get to the honey hole and doesn't leak.
  23. Same here, until recently. Our HOA is ousting Comcast and going with Hotwire. Comcast is OUT in 6 months around here.
  24. Easter candy is the best candy of the year, blowing Halloween candy out of the water. The coconut chocolate egg is my favorite. Peeps used to be my 2nd favorite but the sugar in those things puts me in vegetative state.
  25. The rod is a 6'6 light G-Loomis IMX SR782. The reel is a Shimano Sahara 750FB SR782-1 (IMX) 6'6" 4-8 1/16-5/16 Fast Light $245.00 I have one spool with #6 mono and the other spool with #4 mono. The rod is rated up to #8 mono but, IMO, #8 is too big for this rod and definitely too big for the reel. The bass in the video were caught on #4. The rod has plenty of backbone but is light enough to have fun with light tackle/panfish, such as bream and speck. I throw beetle spins, small spinner baits, small rattle traps and 3" rapalas with the combo. The rod will cast effortlessly long distances using the above mentioned tackle with #4 and #6 mono. I suggest splicing a foot long piece of #6 mono to the #4 mono when throwing the spinner bait , rattle trap and rapala. The bigger bass have a tendency to fray through #4 mono. The combo will cost you right at or just under $300 new. Go to the G-Loomis website and look under trout/panfish to find the rod.
