  1. Sounds to me that you guys are clueless. Expiditer and the loomis warranty are two totally different things. Do you hear me? They are DIFFERENT. If the rod broke due to a manufactureres defect then Loomis will replace it FREE. If it broke do to YOUR carelessness hen the expiditer process is the way to go. GEEEEEEESh.
  2. LISTEN UP.. I'm a big Shimano fan as much as anyone else. I love my 50mg's UNTIL i tried the Lews tournament pro. I sold all my 50mgs, except one, and replaced them with the Lews. Do yourself a favor and find a Lews and give it a try. I seriously doubt you will find a better reel at the 170 price range. IMO they are under priced.
  3. LMAO! You can try and come up with a hundred justifications that YOU think are reasonable. You can't spend money that you haven't earned, so don't expect to have money throughout the school year if you haven't saved. My advice, save 75% of your cash for school, and 25% for your fishing needs. Actually, 85/15% would be better. College is for studying and having fun, not working.
  4. My premier cast just fine on light rods. I suggest working out or learning to cast, because it isn't the rod from being too light.
  5. Isn't it amazing what out youth has become/ They can't function without a computer. How about getting a girlfriend or play a sport or go exploring or plant a tree or build a fort or read a book or bake a cake or steal your dad's beer or GET a LIFE!
  6. My donkey needs an enima. Are you willing to insert it? I don't have money to pay you, but can provide you with a plate of beenie and weenies.
  7. Poot Mike. He has conditioned his mind to think in pounds, not ounces.
  8. No receipt required. I just got 2 replacements last week. No questions asked. 100 bucks per rod. NRX is different story though. If it is a manufactures mistake then they replace it for free. I would suggest calling Loomis next time. Their number is on their website and they have the correct answers.
  9. Aside from the NRX, the 893 IS, without a doubt, THE BEST Senko rod out there. Spend the 400 bucks and get.
  10. LMAO!!!! I bet you bought my returned Premiers. My 1st Premier souded horrible towards the end of the cast. I exchanged it for another, and, it too, screetched at the end of the cast. The screetching is NOT normanl. I sent the 2nd back and got the 3rd. I've had this one now since they first came out and it has worked flawlessly. I cannot, for the life of me, remember what ABU said the problem was. I posted the problem on here WAYYYYY back then, but have no idea where to look for the thread.
  11. By JOHN MONE, AP GARDEN GROVE, Calif. — A Southern California woman remained jailed Wednesday after authorities said she drugged her estranged husband, tied him to a bed, cut off his thingy and put it through a garbage disposal. Garden Grove police Lt. Jeff Nightengale said Catherine Kieu Becker drugged a meal and served it to the victim, whose name was not released, shortly before the attack Monday night. Nightengale said the 51-year-old man felt sick, went to lie down and lost consciousness. The 48-year-old Becker then tied the victim's arms and legs to the bed with rope, removed his clothes and attacked him with a 10-inch kitchen knife as he awoke, Nightengale said. "He was conscious when his thingy was removed," Nightengale said. Nightengale said Becker put the thingy in the garbage disposal and turned it on. The lieutenant said Becker called 911 to report a medical emergency and told arriving officers "he deserved it" before pointing to the room where the victim was found tied to the bed, bleeding profusely. Authorities did not release details on a possible motive in the attack. Bail for Becker was set at $1 million after she was booked at the Orange County Jail for investigation of aggravated mayhem, false imprisonment, assault with a deadly weapon, administering a drug with intent to commit a felony, poisoning and spousal abuse. The victim underwent surgery and was listed in good condition at the University of California at Irvine Medical Center in Orange, hospital spokesman John Murray told the Orange County Register. The newspaper said the victim declined to comment when he was reached by phone Tuesday afternoon. "This is a (MY) private matter," he said.
  12. I've been dipping and chewing steady now for 23 years. The longest I went without it was 6 months. I enjoy chewing, which makes it even more difficult to quit. I regret starting up again after the 6 months without it though, I was home free. Chew is many times more addictive than cigarettes and has lots of sugar. I look for the sugar free Redman chew.
  13. You're not sore, just old Sounds like you had another good time and that's what it's all about.
  14. So much for giving advice. At what point did I say the 893 was good for cranking and dropshot? My best advice, for what its worth, is this. If you fish primarily soft plastics such as worms, senkos and fluke type baits and cannot afford the NRX or multiple rods, then, without a doubt, get the BCR893 GLX. If you fish a variety of tackle such as jerkbaits, topwater plugs, cranks, and plastics and can't spring for technique specific rods, then I would suggest the MBR843 GLX or IMX If you fish crankbaits a lot, then I would not use a crankbait rod for tubes and dropshot.
  15. Way to go, Bruce. 26 pounds took 1st? Now those are some HAWGS!
  16. That coconut ain't worthy of a UM hat.
  17. I just got in from fishing another nite tournament. "Hawk" couldn't make it so I had to fish solo. I took 3rd place out of 24 boat and also had big fish at 6 pounds and 14 ounces. Hawk and I remain in 1st place overall with 6 tournaments left (we've had 8 and maintained 1st place for the last four). All fish were caught on black/blue flake Senkos except one, that one came on a white spinnerbait. Equipment used: Loomis NRX 893c Lews Speedspool Tournament Pro #10 Yozuri clear 3/0 octopus hook #7 split shot Big fish pays about $120 plus 3rd place $.
  18. Done.
  19. Shazaam! That's a trip worth bragging about.
  20. I have owned and fished a large variety of Loomis rods. I personally prefer the Senko and Jig/worm models over the MBR series. Many people will tell you the MBR 844 or 843 are the most versitile rods. I personally liked the MBR 843 over the 844. If your budget is tight and you can't get the GLX model, then the IMX MBR843 would be a very good choice for an "all purpose" rod. I sold my 843 and 844 and gave my uncle my other 843. He uses that rod extensively and has caught numerous bass in the 5 pound and bigger range with no problems. He uses it with worms, senkos, plugs and whatever he can tie on the end of the line. That being said, it will NOT be adequate for flipping or fishing heavy cover such as lilly pad fields or thick, matted hyacins or slop. It simply isn't big enough. Why did I sell the 843 and 844? Because I went to the bcr893 and bcr853,GLX models. The bcr 853 is an excellent rod for T-rig worms and jigs under 1/2 ounce and fishing in semi-thick cover. The rod seems light but has plenty of backbone to move fish away from cover. At some pont I started fishing Senkos more than worms and found the bcr893 to be superior than any other loomis model, except the NRX. I bought two 893's and got rid of the 853. The 893, hands down, would be my choice for senkos and worms. The rod is light and very sensitive. It also has enough balls to move fish away from cover. The 893 can also be used with spinnerbaits, even though it's 7.5'. I have since sold both 893's and upgraded to the NRX, which is in a world all of its own. My best advice, for what its worth, is this. If you fish primarily soft plastics such as worms, senkos and fluke type baits and cannot afford the NRX or multiple rods, then, without a doubt, get the BCR893 GLX. If you fish a variety of tackle such as jerkbaits, topwater plugs, cranks, and plastics and can't spring for technique specific rods, then I would suggest the MBR843 GLX or IMX. DO NOT waste your money on any rod below the IMX model, such as the GL2 or GL3. There are other brands for less money that are as good or better.
  21. I'd go back to 10000 B.C. and find me a hot looking cavewoman. Woman back then didn't talk back and you were allowed to club'em over the head.
  22. Don't you mean "Hillbilly crush?"
  23. FS would have been my 2nd choice. Aside from Gene Simmons, FS probably had more chikcs then you could shake a stick at. FS was the Derek Jeter of the 60's.
  24. How can you NOT give this reel a try? The premier has functioned great after 2-3 years of hard use so I find no reason not to give this one a shot. I have sold almost all my Shimano's (Chronarch 50mgs, and Core) and replaced them with Lew's. Although I have yet to find a reel that cast as far and easy or holds up as well as my Calcutta's.
