  1. You don't want your drag to slip when setting the hook so tighten it down. Your drag being tight is NOT what's keeping you from hooking fish.
  2. I only T-rig my senko's and I have about 98% hook-up ratio. In fact, if I set the hook then I bet my hook up ratio is higher than 98%. I aslo bet over 95% of the fish are hooked in the corner of the jawl or in the upper lip. How often do use Senkos? I go through about 4-6 bags a month on average per year. Here's what I use: 3/0 Octopus hooks.
  3. Learn how to make better cast or stay away from the weeds. You'd never make it as a saltwater angler if 20 bucks put you down.
  4. Yep. Mine even had those *** looking tassles hanging from the handles.
  5. ^ Very good suggestion ^. Discipline is a learned behavior. You're not born knowing how to behave and some kids are quick/easy learners, while others are a bit more stubborn. I was a bit more stubborn and can still feel the belt across my rearend. I turned out ok too. LOL, my oldest kid, now 22, was the worst. You could spank him and he could care less. Your hand would go numb without him even giving a rats ars. As he got to 10-15 yoa, he got the belt maybe 2-3 times. He would turn around and go right back to doing what he got in trouble for. And he loved to lie. He would tell you he was at school all day and didn't skip a class. I would no for a fact he wasn't in class and could tell him I was hiding in his classroom and he never showed up. He would look straight at you and say something like "Well' you must have hid in the wrong classroom because I was there. Go ask the teacher." Even the teacher would say he wasn't in class but then he would say she was wrong. My middle kid, 18yoa, never had to be spanked. He would breakdown just by me telling him he did wrong and giving him my stare. I could sit him on the couch and just stare at him, not say a word and he would start confessing.
  6. Good deal. I got a few coupons in the mail for Dick's. Time for a new pair of sneakers and some more Senko's.
  7. Hey Red, I got the solution. Give the kid his own bathroom. HAHAHA Seriously though, there could be a few things wrong that need serious attention. If the kid continues to do the same thing after repeatedly being punished then there is deffinately some underlying problem that needs to be figured out. If the punishment was harsh/serious, then I'm sure he doesn't continue to do what he does because he thinks it's fun. No one likes to have an ars whippin (and I don't mean a smack on the butt with your hand) My experience shows that he could become immune to punishment. Does he try to hangout with his older brother but often get left behind? Does he get picked on by his brother and brother's friends? Does he get attention from his biological parents? If not, then that is what I would put my money on. Counseling might be a good way to figure out why he does what he does, but I'm not so sure counseling alone will correct him from doing what he does. I have a younger brother and sister as well as three boys of my own so I know this kind of behavior can be very frustrating as a parent.
  8. The only lure that gets tied on to my crankbait rod is a cranckbait.
  9. Just go because we're all doomed.
  10. Sounds like it may have to do with wanting attention from his brother. Does the one kid get more attention from you or whomever than the other kid. Favortism? One thing I know for sure though, DO NOT punish/restrict them from visitation.
  11. When fishing a hump, say top of hump is in 4' of water and base of hump is in 12' of water, with soft plastics, do you fish up the hump or drag your bait down the hump. Or does it not matter.
  12. Yea, because gettin drunk and gettin some booty ain't fun Unless you plan on using the shift knob
  13. Hey, welcome back. So let's get this straight. Out of THOUSANDS of members, YOU are the only one who got lost and couldn't find his way home. Must be a member of team diapers.
  14. Just be a man about it and ask the guy to turn it down. If he don't, then smash the radio and go on with your work.
  15. LOL, your reel should be the poster child for Pinnacle.
  16. I would sit at the lake with a bag of Doritos, a Pepsi, my AR-15 and pick off as many jet skiers as possible.
  17. Ok, I'm gonna give you my secret spot in Okeeheelee. This is the most obvious spot and it has been tested and proven to produce fish, although I haven't fished it this year. Tackle: Watermelon Zoom Ultra Vibe Speed Crawl Screw in sinker or pegged. Location: There is a ski lake that runs parallel to Forest Hill Blvd. Go west on Forest Hill past the park entrance. Look for the BMX track on the north side of F/H (just east of the T-Pike overpass) Park right at the entrance to the BMX track (as you pull in the track parking lot from Forest Hill, you will be facing north. Stop the car there. You will be looking at the ski lake I mentioned. Walk to the edge of the water from where you parked and you should see the ski bouys. Make your cast into the ski lane, but wait until the skiers pass by. You will be fishing right where they just went by. The boat motor churns the water, which gets the bait moving, which gets the bass biting. Should be lots of grass at bottom of lake, unless it died off. I haven't been there this year. You can walk the shoreline east, casting into the ski lane. You can also park inside okeeheelee at the ball park and access the same lake from the other side. Fish it the same way. I've caught dozens of 3-6 pounders in there. Just bounce that bait on the bottom and through the grass. I use 1/4 ounce screw in bullet weight.
  18. I'll second the RedBone that SirSnook suggested. Hurricane makes a very nice rod at a very reasonable price.
  19. Very nice. Now can you please explain why the sky is blue? I'm sure my 3 year old will be asking such questions very soon and I would rather explain the debt problem. Thank you.
  20. I don't know why, I watch maybe 3 games all year, but the Eagles are going to take the SB.
  21. That boat looks like a suicide boat. Maybe a faked accident to hide from his wife?
  22. Let see. Nothing worked except blak/blue flake Senkos, which caught quality fish! Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, why try anything else?
  23. Yea, I over exagerated the hospital fee, but the you got the point. Have you ever compared what it cost to have a MRI here in the states vs. other countries? Watermelon at Publix today was $8.99. WTH! Smetimes I think we should draft a new Constitution and adopt some policies/laws from other countries. I'll shut up because I'm going off topic.. Oh yea, one last thing. Grab your rod, bag of Senkos and run for the lake!
  24. Jazzy, Sorry bro, can't comment on their rods. I read about them on TW but i'm strictly a Loomis guy.
