  1. If the person makes eye contact with me when they say "thank you," then I say "you're welcome." If they don't make eye contact then I just say "mhmm." If they don't say "thank you" then I say "you're welcome" loud enough for them to here me.
  2. I've gotten rid of most of my Shimanos and have gone to Lews. I have three Tournament Pros and they are worth every penny and then some.
  3. what is the best for fishing under rain? Fishing on top of the rain. whats the best technique or lure for heavily pressured water? If there was a lure/technique that consistantly caught fish then the lake wouldn't be pressured.
  4. Paddled. It's a NO MOTOR lake for a reason. I would have thought "what IF something goes wrong? will I be tempted to use the motor?" before launching a motor boat in a paddle/trolling motor lake. I would also have checked to make sure the trolling motor worked before launching. Waiting to see if the motor works AFTER you push off is like waiting to put the plug in after you launch.
  5. I never heard the name Justice as a first name, only last. I think the name sounds cool for a boy though. Only problem is, what if he don't live up to his name?
  6. Come on, Chris. Really! Everyone knows you don't recondition your battery until after you give it a good shampooing.
  7. Yea, my vent goes to the roof also. My problem is with the vent cover. Gosh dang roofers used a vent that won't allow me to access the hole to suck out anything that gets stuck. I pull the back cover of the dryer off about once every 2.5-3 months and clean everything inside with the vacuum. LMAO, i was using a shop vac attachment on the vacuum cleaner when the attachment fell off underneath the dryer tub and I cant get that F'r out.
  8. Mexico is getting BAD. You either get shot on land or eaten in the water.
  9. Same here in S Florida. Been raining since Friday evening.
  10. Calcutta 100TEDC. Why? Because it's heavy enough for jigs, small swimbaits and spinnerbaits yet small enough for Senkos, worms and cranks. And, IMO, is the most durable reel on the market and has been for years.
  11. Put your money in a hiding spot and keep saving to upgrade.
  12. In my younger days, to Hades and back. in my grown up days, to the nearest tackle shop for a replacement.
  13. Appliances, they always seem to break down at the MOST horrible time AND when your broke. LOL, I can almost be cosidered a professional dryer fixer.
  14. Hey Grimlin, We have some poorly constructed on ramps, intersections and roadways too. This will be a LONG shot and you probably won't get too far, BUT you might be able to hold the county or city responsible if they screwed the road up that bad. You may be able to research how many accidents have happened there due to the poor construction of the access road and show that the county or city is partialy liable. Just a thought.
  15. Sounds to me you were merging into HIS lane of traffic and pulled out in front of him. You were going from an access road to a main highway. He was doing the sped limit. BUT, sht happens and glad your ok.
  16. X2, and will more than likely weigh more than traditional spinning reels. I bought my dad the small, black Penn (forget the model). It's a great reel but heavier than standard spinners of its size. Penn spinning reels rule saltwater reels, (or used to?) and are very good reels.
  17. Yep. I use a Calcutta 50TE for my cranks on a 7.5 Loomis Crank rod. It's a match made in heaven.
  18. I hear your frustration. The communication probably got lost between the receiver of the reel and the fix it shop. But that doesn't excuse them from not noticing something was still wrong with it before shipping it back to ya.
  19. or a period after each sentece
  20. I just the my boss that "My hurts, I can't see coming in today."
  21. I hate to admit, especially after strongly reccomending Shimano for so many years (and at times still do) but I have gotten rid of (almost) all my Shimanos and adopted the Lews TP. My Calcuttas are here to stay and I haven't found a better spinning reel to replace my Stradic. My goal now is to get RW to make the transition. I'm considering shipping one of my TP's to him so he can use it for a couple weeks/month- I know he'll fall in love and then there will be a massive Shimano sale going on in the flee market .
  22. That's why you're the resident expert.
  23. Not me. I have respect for my elders.
  24. Holy Catfish Nuggets. So much for wanting to try noodling, haha.
