  2. Has anyone ever stopped tobacco chewing cold turkey? I'm trying to qiut dipping after 20 yrs with skoal. I'm going on 24 hours without any and am getting serious headaches and cant stop moving around or eating. If this keeps up then I'm going back.....
  3. I agree Hal..I seem to get away with more when I ask for forgiveness then i do asking for permission. So when do you wanna go. We can let my boat be the guinea pig.
  4. I know its non motorized but does that mean you can tilt you motor out of the water and still fish by using th eT/M ?
  5. I use Zoom Craws99% of the time. Okeeheelee is a T/M lake only but I have heard you can put your gas motor in there if you dont run it. I called parks and recreation to find out and was transferred 3x and finaly left a message with the top dude who never called back. I'm going to do some more searching to see if we can bring our bass boats. I know they have a nice ramp. Or we can just walk the banks. I dont think you could cover all the shores in one day though. Pretty big out there.
  6. Here in S.Florida for saltwater fishing it is "out of the west, Stay home and rest". As far as freshwater, If I'm fishing a N/S canal and the wind is out of the nth then i will head into the wind with the trolling motor. If the wind is out of the east then I will angle the boat (try to, depends on wind spped) and fish the shore of the canal that the wind is blowing to, which would be the west side if wind is from the east. If it is a lake or pond and the wind is out of the east then I will usually fish the west bank. These are just my basic ideas where to fish in wind that I use. I also considere sun direction and what type of structure is on the lake. I would target structure 1st then move to the wind side of the pond. just my opinion though. I aint no pro.
  7. Send those scouts my way when you see them... I aint stopped cravin those mints since yesterday.
  8. Okay Mr. Bocabasser, you asked for it and I delivered. I caught these two and 7 more bank fishing at Okeeheelee today at 2:00. And no, I never fished the lakes that I caught fish in today LOL. I think we need to do another get together at Okeeheelee and have a mini tourny. There has to be some bigguns in there somewhere. I'm thinking about going back tonight.....
  9. Looks good so far. I wa thinking about the easiest was to put in braces. Looks like you figured it out. It looks as though the braces will pull/rip out from the side of the seat when you put weight on the deck. Have you tested the strenght ?
  10. I fish 2 lakes. One private and then mine. Neither has much room for bank fishing because of the houses. You have to use a jon boat If you wanna fish my lake or you are very limited. There aint no way im taking more than one person with me to the privat lake. That lake is too GOOD to lose by bringing a crowd.
  11. Hey LBH, Come clean my dinner up off the floor. Gross dude.
  12. Spawn. Have a runny nose for 3 days or diareha for 2.
  13. Thinmint.. Oh yea. I'll trade you my box of Keeblers for some..............
  14. Man I swear I am peeing my pants laughing so hard. I am a police officer and had to get certified with those about 15 yrs ago. We first had to shock ourself on the thigh while sitting and then stand up and have our partner shock us on the collar bone area. Yes it hurt like hell. Now with advancement in technology they have developed the taser which is common amongst law enforcement except these shoot out two 21' wires with harpoon type needles with barbs that stick in ya. Yep, we had to get shot with those also. 3 second burst will drop you through the floor and your balls WILL runaway......So I feel for ya bro...
  15. Is anyone out there in Palm Beach County, Florida a Family law attorney ? I need one for my ex- #$%@#@#. 13 yrs later and she still trying to take me to the cleaners. I knew I shouldn't had taken a loan to by my new boat. Kids ratted me out by accident.
  16. Nice fish. Glad you were able to get out . It looks like the current is rippin in the 1st pic.
  17. I havent done much after dark fishing but would love to. I was telling my dad that if my boat is easy to launch in our lalke then night fishing is on. If not then i'm gonna by a bigger jon and build it up. Have a 10' but i'll get a 14' and wider. I know for a fact that the lake holds speck and atleast one 10 pounder. I also think it is spring fed. It too has been here for years. atleast since the 70's.
  18. If you want to draw from a hat anyone of the many lakes in Palm beach and have a little tourny then I'm all for it. Put something together and it'll be on like a pot of neck bones
  19. Wow. Help, someone help me up. LOL.. You are absolutely correct. It doesnt take a whole lot to catch fish from your backyard. I always said that its easy to catch fish from the place you always fish but the test comes to catching fish from unfamiliar water. The lakes however have been here atleast 40 yrs. Way way before the houses and I dont live there. I live accross the street and got permission to fish it. There are much better lakes there but I need my jon boat to access them and that's a pain in the butt. . I wasn't trying to brag about the fish( cause they aint worth bragging over). I was just trying to share my evening with whoever cares. My development lake is pretty bid too but TM only. Management said gas is okay as long as you dont use it. The concrete ramp is in good shaep but shallow. I'm gong to see if my Chevy silverado 2whl drive V/8 will pull it out okay bit not until my dad gets a hitch put on his 4x4 incase mine whimps out.
  20. When i was 14 yrs old some of my friends and I met the gentelman who did the fishing report each week on the local news chnl in Palm Beach, Fl. He got permission to sink 200 trees in Lake Osborne and 150 in Lake Clarke Shores. We helped on the ussumption that he would take us fishing and let us fish in his moms bacyard , which is where onre of the reefs were sank. He said anytime, go fish. We busted our Donkies and to this day he has never let us fish in the yard or take us. They did produce some good cover though. After a while though the trees will rot and leave you wint concret block unless the dirt covers it up. Im 39 now and if I ever see the guy who asked for our help I promise I will break his nose.
  21. Bocabasser, Yes. It is the same lake just a different part of it. Very obvservant you are.

  23. I used to fish spoons all the time on the St Johns River in Florida. I would use them plain or with a trailer such as a skirt, or pork rind. I'd even tear a 7" worm in half and use that as a trailer. Favorite color is gold and then silver. Caught lots on them boogers. Gees , now you got the memories coming back.
  24. Conditions: 62 degrees, Wind North at 6mph. Location: Palm Beach County, Florida. Date/Time: Monday Feb. 19, 2007 5:15p-6:20p The terrain: The tackle: 7' Hurricane Redbone with Curado 200, 15ld test Flourocarbon, 3/8oz Strike King Spinner bait. 7' G-Loomis with Diawa Sol, 12ld test Flourocarbon, Chrome/blue Rattle Trap.
