  1. The instructions that come with the Snakes tell you to keep them refrigerated when not using them. Hot or cold, they still suck though.
  2. I have this boat. http://media.trackermarinegroup.com/tracker/images/TPT190TXRDT07_BMT_07_700.jpg Is there a way to install led lights, or lights of some sort, around the deck for night fishing. I'm not trying to illuminate the water or put out a lot of watts. I merely want to illuminate the deck or edge of deck to help see my rods and give a little light for retying etc. I would prefer amber or red lights over white. Thanks for any suggestions.
  3. 65 degrees? burrrrrrrrrr that's cold. And also, how do you select just one phrase or line from a paragraph to quote w/out quoting the whole thing? Thank you.
  4. I'd keep from dangling my feet into the water until I learned what it is And after I figured out what it is then I would it.
  5. Glenn, Thanks for taking the time to respond. I just learned a valuable lesson by reading your post and the attachment .
  6. The Rapala hasn't been around for years and years and years because of it's inability to catch fish. They have always produced for me. Silver/black and gold/black...
  7. Would you rather have blood drawn with a dull needle or sharp needle? The sharper the hook the better. If your worried about taking the hook out the way it went in then cut the shaft and push/pull the hook out. We all try to minimize the injury to a fish but it is FISHING.
  8. The air temp dropping doesn't necessarily mean the water temp dropped enough to effect the fish. I would probably fish the same I have been but perhaps slow the retrieve a bit. If nothing happened then I would try deeper water until the surface temp warmed up. It's hard to give advice on lures because I fish worms/jigs and flukes 90% of the time. I tell myself that if I can't catch them on the soft plastics then they wouldn't have bit on any other bait, which I'm sure is not true but I just have high confidence in them. That's my opinion though so wait for other suggestions.....
  9. The Loomis is a very lite rod. I have a curado which weighs about 8oz. The Reve premier coming out super soon is 6.1 ozor 6.3 . I hoping it's a quality reel, like the curado and if so then why put a heavy reel on a lite rod?
  10. How about totally strip it down and start over. That's the problem with factory, production rods....they place the guides in the same spot/distance on every blank of the same type. look at all your rods and you'll notice the standard distance from the tip to the next one down is about 4 inches regardless of the action or rod strength. I've seen builders put the blank into the rod holder to start wrapping and never bend the blank to see the curve. And these rods have 2 & 3 hundred $ price tags. All they do is break out the tape measure and measure the gaps between guides using the last rod as a template. Cheap.
  11. It has been said that the next closest thing to child birth (as far as pain goes) is kidney stones. I wish you the best of luck bro. I never had them but my dad has and had to pass them through his wiener and my mom has them right now.
  12. GMC Sierra 1500 full 4dr with extra long bed and a 2inch lift. Your canoe will fit perfectly and you will probably be somewhat safer than the Toyota when running off the road.
  13. My plan is to buy the premier when it comes out in 2008 and it's only 6.4:1, I believe. I don't feel like waiting that long so I bought the SX in hi speed. As far as picking the SX over the SC, well I forgot why. I like the black color I guess.lol;;;;;;;;;

  15. I thought he was just trying to get a piece of "bass"......
  16. Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, you look like a monkey and you smell like one too..... LOL, just kiddin with ya.... enjoy this age because it is truly a fun age. I got my 1st car at 16 and my 1st piece of..........well lets just say it was better than hot apple pie.....but if I knew it was going to cost me 1k a month for 18 yrs then I woulda stuck with the pie.........
  17. Me too. I'm counting on yours and everyone elses reviews/advice.
  18. Did you catch that catfish while noodling.....The best set would be G-Loomis rods and Shimano reels or perhaps the new ABU Revo Premier......
  19. I couldn't find the Revo Premier anywhere so I logged onto BPS and ordered the SX hi speed. I'll get the Premeir in lower speed when it hits the market. Of course I had to buy another Lucky Craft Rick Clunn crankbait ($15).. And then I realized I needed a new spinner bait box so I bought that too ($12). I wont buy rods on-line or without holding them so I told the wife we were hitting Tuppens this weekeng for a new rod. She boldly told me to NEVER EVER complain about how many purses or pair of shoes she has......
  20. It's out of stock and on backorder. Don't know if it will be here in 2008 or before. I just ordered the Revo SX though.
  21. Pressure cleaner.....if it's on a smooth surface then you can scrape it up with a razor blade or scraper.
  22. I wrote a post a few days ago asking for yalls advice on this reel or the curado. I opted to go with this reel because of the weight and good reviews, plus I already have a Curado. I can't find the reel anywhere. I e-mailed ABU from their web site to ask when it was going to be distributed to the dealers but they never replied. I was going to buy the SX until I seen the Premier, but I don't want to wait till 2008 if that's when they're going to put it out. Why buy the SX and then a month later the Premier comes out? Oh well, I'll probably break down and get the SX and later the Premier. Perhaps I'll get the hi speed SX and lower speed Premier. The saltwater version looks promising too. Perfect for jigs and plugs for redfish, trout and snook.....
  23. I was heading out to play golf. The phone rang and I was told to turn the t.v on. Next thing I know I was being called in to work....
