  1. You guys are killing me. I waited all week to get out there but, my partner canceled on me last night. I found a last minute replacement. I was up at 0415 making sandwiches when my replacement called saying the nyquil he took kicked his butt and can't get up. I called my brother to tell him it was just the two of us, to hurry up and get over to my house. My brother said he just checked his answering machine and has a chance to work some overtime so he ain't coming. So that left just me and I didn't want to drive 2 hours by myself and then fish all day alone. Needless to say I spent most of my day infront of the T.V pouting and a bit grumpy. I'm glad you had a good outing and those are some nice hawgs.
  2. 11.4 sounds like a good number. My main goal is to get a 7 plus on #4 mono ultrlite though.
  3. MMMMMMMMMMMGOOD. I can smell the grease getting hot in the fryin pan.
  4. Holy shnitz! That's a monster. Are they good to eat?
  5. Don't come back until you get a camera or we won't believe ya when you get your next HAWG.
  6. It's cool you and your dad get out together to fish. Those times are priceless.
  7. I've got 6 Calcuttas of different sizes. They are the durable and strong. I use mine for worm and cranks. They are an all around reel. I have them on 7 and 7.5 ' rods from Med to M/H to Heavy. 12-17 lb line
  8. Fish top water plugs like the Skitter Walk, Luck Craft Sammy , Zara spook or rapala. Try using plastic grubs on a 1/8 ounce jig head. Try flukes/jerk baits also. Best bet is live shrimp, pin fish or mullet.
  9. Ok thanx. I was beginning to think I bought from one of those scam sites. This is my 1st time using these type of baits so I wasn't to familiar with the different companies.
  10. I fish worms and flukes 95% of the time so it's not hard finding a hook, a sinker and a worm. The stores I shop at carry enough of the hot products to last all season/year and I don't really notice a change. Now saltwater live bait is a different story.
  11. http://www.huddlestondeluxe.com/ I ordered 2 on Dec. 30th and have not received them yet. They have no phone number. I e-mailed them 2x and no return yet. Do me a favor if you know this place or live near it and go by and tell them to hurry the #%$^ up.
  12. Is the drag loosened all the way? if so, tighten it. Or better yet- it broken.
  13. Go with Loomis but buy the IMX. Preferably the GLX if you can afford it.
  14. Great job. Looks like she came out of some very clear/clean water.
  15. Pushy sales people. My WHOLE day was ruined today after 2 idiot, piece of shi#, rude sales people from 2 different stores ticked me off. One was a Manager at Macys that butted into a conversation between me and a very nice sales person. Well, the manager lost the store a $2000. sale plus the return of a $730 item. 2nd was at Lazy Boy furniture. Again, a manager. He sat me in a recliner that was $699. Then he looks at my pregnant wife and says "I tell you what, since she is an expecting mother, I'll give you a 30% discount." I said to myself "don't pee down my back and tell me it's raining." He then made the MISTAKE by saying his recliners are the best and that they are made of marine plywood. I'm like, what? I looked at my wife and said "look babe, there are more chairs over there", pointing across the the breezeway and not realizing what I was looking at was another company within the same building. The Manager said " Oh, that's Ashley furniture, they are cheap and poorly made" I said "Really, I have several pieces of Ashley leather furniture at home that are 4 yrs. old and are as good today as they were when I bought them." I left and returned 1/2 hour later showing him my sales receipt from Ashley on my new purchase.
  16. Any clubs in or around Biloxi, MIssissippi?
  17. That was %$^^&*# hilarious.
  18. Wow! I never seen a frozen lake in person before. Or snow, but that lake looks like time is standing still.
  19. I found this somewhat interesting. It may have already been posted but here it is anyways. http://www.insideline.net/video/index.htm
  20. My ex-wife. Atleast for 2 more years when support stops.
  21. Hit the coast and hunt for some reds and snook.
  22. Thank you for all the replys. You guys are great. I skipped on the boat but at times still kick myself in the arse for doing so. I have a 19' Bass Tracker which is my main boat. There are a few rather large T/M only lakes in and around my neighborhood that I want to fish. I put my Tracker in my neighborhood Lake but they try and give me grief about the motor, which I tilt out of the water. I'm just tired of the complaints so I thought I'd go with a Jon. I have a 10' but it's uncomfortable. I'm 6'2 225 and my dad is 6'2 210. I figured I'd wait and look for a little wider boat because he and I are about as clumsy as a one legged elephant, although I think that boat would been suitable, I just don't want to waste money on an unsure thing like I did on the 10'er. Anyways, thanks for all the input. I'll find one again and reach out for yalls help. And LBH, It's ok. I know you tried getting back to me. We just kept missing each other. Thanks..Doug...
  23. yep, sounds good. Just make sure you get it on there tight as possible.
  24. So is Circuit City but they can't beat BrandsMart. ?? Um,...no, they're not. For a list of our sponsors, click here You're correct. I currently have my foot in my mouth. How about advertisers.
  25. I disagree that it's overkill for everything. Get yourself a light glass crankin rod and strap that DC on it and you will see it works just fine for deep divers and light shallow runners. If I didn't have mine, I wouldn't fish cranks at all. JMHO. Ronnie Thanks Alps. My new crankin stick should arrive from Loomis early this week.
