  1. I'd kick you out of my boat with that mess.
  2. I suppose you have to catch one in order to squueze its belly. So if you catch one on a worm then I guess they're eating worms. If you catch one on a crank bait then I guess they're eating crank baits. You might be able to tell what that particular bass ate by squeezing the belly and judging by the size of the object in its gut. You can also probably make it puke up whatever it had recently eaten, but I suggest you stop sqeezing the belly. Besides, you're using artificial and I doubt you're going to squeeze out a Lucky Craft. In fact, the first bass we caught today had a tail fin sticking out of its gullet. We pulled the carcas out and it was a catfish about 7 inches long. Guess what? We didn't have any catfish artificial baits but we still caught plenty on crank baits.
  3. Hello and welcome to BR. I would suggest Okeeheelee park off Forest Hill just east of the turnpike. The park has lots of water so over crowding is not an issue. I can only think of neighborhood ponds in your immediate area, which are usually for residents only. Not too many kid friendly, shore fishing areas around these days. Don't forget to stop in at the New Members section and say hello.
  4. I don't get it. What kind of a name is Cess?
  5. Yea, I've thought aboout having a big ars BBQ and fish fry out there. Bring the jet skis, water skis and have some fun. I was planning on something between November and April because it's just too dang hot to BBQ right now.
  6. Was thinking the same thing.
  7. Here's a few bass caught with U/L and #4 mono. Super fun!
  8. Have fun in the keys. Is it lobster season already? Relocating is exactly what I wanted to do. I'm going to put a few in some key spots in Osborne and see if they remain in the area. Give me a shout when you're ready. If you guys want, we can take my boat and one of yalls boats out. You, Piscidal, Eric and I can all fish the same time. The property in fenced so you don't have to worry aboyt theft from the cars. And like I said, my uncle lives on the property so we can use the crapper if need be, haha.
  9. Yes, tomorrowwill be fine. I was going to scout the osborne chain, particulary PB canal and Boynton canal, for my upcoming tournament, but I'd rather fish the pit. Let me know what time works for you and I'll have the boat ready. I'm free all day and all night.
  10. relax, I was kidding.
  11. I prefer the language, I don't have a 12yr old daughter,
  12. It was very difficult for me to get myself to use the "TURD" (that's what my uncle calls it, haha) because the are the dumbest looking baits out there. I tried a bag out and I gotta tell ya, they flat out catch fish. They aren't high on my list of top baits, but that's just because I can't get used to using something so dumb looking., haha
  13. I'm available tomorrow evening and any time Monday. I can possibly do Wednesday or Friday evening but won't know until late Tuesday. Thursday is out because I have a tournament.
  14. I'm from Jacksonville and can tell ya it's about 4 - 4.5 hours. Although I did do it in a little over 3 one time, but I wouldn't suggest you try it. You've got one of the best bass fishing spots right there on the St. Johns river.
  15. My saddest heartbreak story is about a girl who.........
  16. It's not that it's far. It's the LONG ars BORING drive to Palm Beach once you enter into Florida. To be honest, the drive out of S. Florida is one of the things keeping me from going on the road trips. And flying is out of the question, haha.
  17. My private property, 100 acre rock pit, honey hole of 6 years has been sold. From what I understand, the new owners will NOT allow my uncle to continue living on the property or allow us to fish due to insurance reasons. I introduced my uncle to the owners 2-3 years ago and they allowed him to move onto the property and occupy what was once the office when they were excavating many years ago. The office has been transformed into a 1 bedroom, 1 bath house with full kitchen. It's the perfect fish lodge. The property is zoned agriculture and building on it is not permitted, unless it's re-zoned. So far I have personally caught or seen caught and weighed a 9.13, 10.4 and one just over 11. I know there are bigger ones in there. Live bream or live bass is the ticket to catching the DD fish, although the 9.13 and 10.4 came on artificial. It's just faster using live bait. I plan on fishing the lake HARD from now until the new owners take occupancy, which is still up in the air. If anyone wants to fish this little treasure of a lake (pond) then get with me and we will go. My boat ALWAYS has a seat open or you can fish from shore. You can keep any all fish if you want too. I'm available from Saturdays 12am to 7am. Saturday 9pm to Sunday 6am. Sunday 9pm thru Tuesday 6am. , Wed, Thurs, Fri from 12am to 6am. I can do day fishing during the week with a days notice to take off work.
  18. Yea, his house does seem like the perfect target. I could only imagine what would have happened if she was home alone. Please take some precautions and add extra security lights, cameras and alarm if your place is as secluded as his.
  19. I heard there are BIG mangrove snapper moving in shallow, like between the reef and shore, down aroung Gulfstream and Boynton. I didn't know the guy but he was talking about it in the tackle shop the other day. I was actually thinking of going out on the drift boat one morning for some bottom fishing but I havent been on the "cluster" boat in many years. I'll take my bass boat out if it's calm enough. I'll take it out of Palm Beach inlet though. I don't trust the Boynton inlet with a bass boat, even if the ocean is calm. .
  20. Man, that really blows. I guess the tourist got left behind when the rest of them went back north for the summer, lol. You know, I woke up this mornng staring at my saltwater gear in the corner of my room and thought about coming out there. The cuda tubes i saw in the bait shop the other day brought back fond memories of my pier fishing days as a kid. I think I'm going to buy one this weekend and meet you out on the jette next week for some fun. In-shore fishing is so much fun. There are so many hard fighting species that you never know what you're going to hook in to and be in an awesome tug-of-war. I feel bad for those people who can't break away from the freshwater and experience the thrill of fishing the BIG pond.
  21. I'm glad he and the daughter are ok, but I have to say HMMMM and scratch my head. 4 guys in th daughter's room? I wonder if she knew the suspects? Very attractive?
  22. Don't matter what you do to make them upright because they're not going to last too long.
  23. You forgot about the chicken. I like to tie the feet with a rope. Tie the other end of the rope to a flimsy, but strong branch. Grab the chicken by the neck and pull until the rope is tight and the branch gets a nice bend in it. Take ur knife and slice off the head. The headless chicken will sling shot away from you and flap it's wings, spooing blood everywhere. Definately more entertaining then ringing their neck.
  24. It might be the angle or lighting condition, but the snook looks a little dark for inlet snook. Did you get'em further up the intracoastal? 10 cudas? WOW! That must have been your lucky day. I've heard you say you might go a week or two without getting any. I was at X-generation tackle shop in Lantana the other day and thought about you when I saw a mess of different colored cuda tubes hanging from the wall.
