  1. WOW!. Very nice HC. What happened to the #4 mono though?
  2. G-Loomis. No warranty card? No receipt? NOT NEEDED. No matter how it broke, No questions asked, instantly replaced. All for $50.
  3. About the lake: 75 acres. Max depth I found so far was 52'. Water visibility is EXTREMELY clear. About 20' depending on the sun position. I finally got permission to fish this lake after about 4 months of trying to locate the owner. So today I made my 1st outing on the lake and took my Uncle with me. We got to the lake at 10:30 am because the owner couldn't let us in any earlier. We got done fishing at 7:16pm. We caught 141 bass, averaging 2-5 pounds. Most all were caught on 7.5" and 10" June Bug Culprit worms. Caught a few on cranks and topwater. NO SENKOS! I managed a couple about 2.25 pounds on my U/L with 4 pound mono using a grub. My uncle has no clue on photography. We got these at the same time. Mine was bigger though. \ This one hit in about 23' of water. 10" Culprit worm.
  4. It'll sing to ya when you cast it. But you have to hold and rub it just right.
  5. Thanks for all the input guys. It is now on order.
  6. I like the Premier because it SINGS to me when i cast it. I just ordered the Chronarc so I'm not sure about it.
  7. Does anyone own these or used them. What are your opinions?
  8. I got 7 small ones the other day on a chartreuse Bomber.
  9. Man, let me tell ya about top quality lures and peacocks. I was fishing in a tournament last Thursday. I was throwing a brand new Jackall that Lightinrod from here recommended. I think the lure was around 18 bucks. Anyways, I'm using my new plug when all of a sudden BAM, fish on. I'm stoked because I can tell from the hit that this was going to be a decent bass, NOT. It was a Peacock. Very next cast, BAM, another one. No big deal but they bent the crap out of my trebles. I was PISSSSED.
  10. Now that was good.
  11. You silly SOB, you just made me drop my key board off my lap.
  12. You got me big time on that one. It's going to be blanket party time for you if we ever meet.
  13. Abu Premier, Sol, Curado and Pflueger Supreme.
  14. Those are pretty cool but the top one looks bent. What got you involved into making pens?
  15. Yea I here ya. Wouldn't it be nice to take a stroll through there "defected rod section" of the warehouse looking for deals. I wouldn't even want to begin to wake that MONKEY up.
  16. Flechero I did not go into great detail with my explanation but I too have an old Loomis ,20 yrs old, that is functionaly sound. I could easily break one of the guides and get a new rod for $50 and be way ahead of the game. What I meant to say is if your rod is new and a guide breaks then I can't see paying $50 to get it replaced when the rod is otherwise in perfect condition. MBR844 GLX 7' blank list for $242.00 The complete rod retails for $365.00 a difference of approximately $120. Now I haven't priced guides, reel seats and cork in a LONG time but I venture to say they will run you at least 40-60 bucks. So by the time you pay for thread and coating material and then add your time building it you might save 20-50 bucks. That's not worth it to me. But then again, maybe you can find the blanks and parts somewhere cheaper other than directly from Loomis. I have 10 Loomis and they are one of few ,if not the only one, rods that I will actually use that is not custom made instead of mass production. I would love to get back into building rods but it has been so long that I don 't know where to get the deals anymore.
  17. If you sent one back with a broke guide that is not deemed a manufacturers defect, then you paid WAY too much to have it replaced. Fix the guide yourself or have someone do it for you. Regardless the reason, it does make you think how much their rods really cost to make. Say you pay $300 for one of their rods. You break it and send it back with the expediter service and you get a brand new on for $50 bucks plus shipping. Now how can they afford to replace that $300 rod for only $50? Even the blanks are priced to the point that it doesn't pay for you to buy and build your own using the same guides and parts they use. I really don't think you would save enough money to make it worth your time.
  18. You sound like someome peed in your grits. Laugh a little.
  19. LOL. No, that was a different pageant and I remember that one. Talking about DUMB.
  20. Now do you think he would actually share his food?
  21. That's only face a mom could love....What the heck did he do to that bass?
  22. What difference does it matter where they go?
  23. I was flipping channels when I came across the Miss USA pageant. They were posting different contestants ages and interests on the t.v screen when I noticed one of the contestants put "laughing" as one of her interests. Now that's an original. I mean, do you know how much effort goes into laughing? And to have laughing as one of your interests in life. Man, that girl is going to go far.....

Stop using the Jr. and use the regular size. I've caught some decent toads on the fluke.
