  1. $20 says he will only last 365 days. Ok, you got me!
  2. I had some natural scent going on tonight that no marketed scent could conceal.
  3. Thanks for all the help guys. I'll try some of the ones yall mentioned. Thanks again.
  4. Dad and I headed out at 6:30pm. We caught about 20 bass on jigs, chug bugs and c-rig. It was a beautiful night with the full moon and all. The mosquitos were a pain in the ars though. We didn't catch any hawgs. We caught a few that went about 2-3 but I didn't bother weighing them. UPDATE: Why are my pictures turning out so big on here. They used not to be this big. Is it Photobucket or what? moon coming up No animals were harmed except the MOSQUITOS.
  5. Happy B-Day Troutfisher. !7 is a good age! Hold on to it for as looooooong as you can.
  6. The bedding fish were probably Peacocks. 11 hours on the water in this heat! U CRAZY, and your buddy is in jeans!!!!!!! Good outing though.
  7. I rely on feel more than line watching, but that's just me. I've been worm fishing for 30 plus years so I'm very confident in my worming. When I feel a tap, I already have the line between my thumb and finger. I can tell by feel wich way the fish is moving. I also fish the ocean but mostly bottom for snapper/grouper . Line watching doesn't help much there.
  8. I used Booya jigs on my last three outings. I went through 7 jigs on maybe 10 bass. The rattles keep coming off after almost every fish. It's really ticking me off cause I hate taking time to retie after each loss, especially in the wind. I need top quality 1/2 and 3/8 jigs. Can someone please recommend a GOOD jig or suggest how to keep my rattles on the Booya? I don't mind paying $ for top quality.
  9. I headed out to the lake at about 10:30 pm with the intentions of fishing top water only. I hooked up on my first cast with a 2 pounder using a Meggabass popper. I switched to a buzzbait for about 20 minutes but NOTHING. I was going to go back to the popper but I couldn't resist using my jigs. I started with a black/blue 1/2 ounce Booya with a 4" trailer fishing in 10-25' of water. I got this one that weighed barely over 6 pounds. She came up somewhat easy but took of like a bat out of he** when she got to the surface and saw the moon. I ended up with 4 more that went from 2-2.5 pounds. All fish released. And I had to add this pic of my son. he was 2 months old yesterday the 17th.
  10. I thought that was fricking hilarious. They deserve an ars beating but you gotta admit that it took a set of nuts to do that.
  11. Nice fish. A little crooked but nice!
  12. I like seeing these posts that include people taking the time for youngsters. I bet he spent the rest of his day bragging about those gills. Kudos to you.
  13. That is just INCREDIBLE! Catching nice bass on #10 mono and spinning gear is one thing but to do it with live bait is another, IMO. A definite heart pounding experience. Now your gonna have to carry the spinning outfit with you on every adventure in case you run into an 11 pounder. By the way, what is your state record on light tackle?

  15. She must have put off 10 pounds of lubricant slime.
  16. You will be a week late if you wait till the 18th for Mothers Day. It's the 11th.
  17. I guess we can make a new Sunday post every Sunday. Whoever gets in first can title it "Sunday" and perhaps put the date next to it.
  18. Very nice fish! I can just imagine the damage you would do if you lived in Cali.
  19. Congrats on a good mess of fish. What's up with the long sleeves? I'm sweating just looking at you guys. Fricking 90 degrees here.
