  1. Nice outing you had and healthy looking bass. I knew you couldn't go out and catch only bass though. I was expecting carp but the kitty cat will do.
  2. Watch the video first and then look at the pictures. This guy had an Angel sitting on his shoulder. http://www.metacafe.com/watch/80337/texas_shootout/

  4. I was using a zoom trick worm. later switched to a 10'' culprit june bug.
  5. What the hell are you doing with gloves on your hands?
  6. Has Jiffy Lube and other $19.99 quick oil change places raised their prices yet? I haven't used those places in years sine I have a company car.
  7. Curado 100 . The 200 is too heavy IMO. If you ain't shimano then you aint sh**.
  8. It's ok. We all did as teenagers and some still do.
  9. I have MY SPACE and you're in so get OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Did I peg that location or what. I used to castnet live bait there when I was a kid about 25 yrs ago. The pond is actually connected to the intracoastal by an underground pipe or used to be anyway. The pond is/was loaded with pin fish, sand perch and mullet. We always went there if we couldn't find the mullet anywhere else. I'm not sure how many ponds are on the course but the one I'm talking about is just south of the parking lot, I think. Been years since I trespassed there, since I turned 18 actually. The bait you see is sounds like mullet. Turn your flashlight off (I know you're using one) and get used to using the ambient light to track the school and cast net them. Your flashlight will spook them and they'll dive deep and resurface somewhere else.
  11. I'm healthy and 40 yrs young. I prefer light over heavy. If your making a thousand casts a day in the heat then you want all the help you can get. So to me, lighter is nicer.
  12. A bass' urine makes great sunblock. Just rub it on your skin every time you catch one. It will also help keep you hydrated. Try it on your next outing...
  13. I forgot all about the Maverick Golden eye. Very good artificial.
  14. Is this a golf course pond? Try using a Skitter Walk in the color of a silver mullet. Try soft plastics like a Fluke perhaps in silver/black. You can also use a Mirror Lure, probably the sinking one. I like green top and white bottom. Silver rattle traps are also good. As far as live bait, use whatever is in the pond. Mullet would be your first choice. I'm sure there are pin fish or maybe sand perch in this pond which are excellent snook bait. Snook are like catfish but MUCH more smarter. They will eat almost anything. Snook LOVE big mullet heads. Catch or buy a horse (Big) mullet and cut the head off behind the gills. Step on the head to break the bones but don't flatten it like a pancake. Use a 5-7/0 hook. Use about 50-60 pound leader about 4' long and just enough weight to keep your bait on the bottom. Be VERY patient and wait for the strike. You may get some catfish or other species screwing with the head but if that pond holds big snook then I promise you'll get them on that head. If the pond has lights around it then fish the shadows. Snook will lay in the shadow (a couple feet from the light) to ambush bait. If the snook are spooky then use lighter line and try tossing live shrimp into the light and let the current take the shrimp into the shadow.
  15. I'm not a logger or live in your neck of the woods but it sounds as though the logger was trying to steal your f-nlaws trees. That's why he had them separated from all the others. I would revisit the law enforcement agency you made a report with and ask for a detective to look into it as theft. Or go to your local State Attorney's office and file charges yourself. Your version of the story does not sound like an accident. Good luck and what ashame.
  16. I'm glad to see my lure is still out there. I think it has now seen more of the U.S than I have. If it ever makes it back home, I'm going to mount it into a shadow box and hang it on the wall. Dave, do you know how many have had it so far?
  17. Paul, you're simply amazing. And to think you make it sound like it was lure that did all the work. Come on bro, I think it was 90% fisherman and 10% lure. You're kicking the crap out of the "big bass" states.
  18. It isn't always about catching fish. Being part of the outdoors and observing mother nature is a true blessing.
  19. If the water is clear then use 8-12 pound test mono, 1/8 oz worm weight, 4/0 worm hook and either 7.5 inch June Bug or Watermelon Seed worm. If wtaer isn't clear then use the same thing but replace the Watermelon Seed with Purple or black worm. But heres a Warning. You are going to SWEAT your AZZZZ off in July so bring tons of water, Gatorade and sunblock. Like 93-98 dgrees and 75-90% humidity with little wind.
  20. OMG I'm peeeeeeeing my pants. My son was lying on the couch and started laughing when he heard the scream from me trying the maze but he couldn't see what I was doing. After a few minutes, I pretended to be playing games and asked if he could help me get past this one. He was 6 inches from the monitor when she screamed. He jumped out of the chair cursing me.
  21. I have several of both.. You can feel a bass hit your worm with slack line in 20' of water on both. If you have the money to blow then get the GLX but honestly, the IMX will serve you very well too. I wealthy man once said " If you have to ask how much it cost, then you can't afford it."
  22. You stupid little piece of **** punk. That was the 3rd time I fell for that silly crap. Oh well, another M&M went down without being chewed. I'm gonna wait a bit and get the wife with it
  23. Way to go Paul! Now that's a picture worth framing. Moments like the one you and your daughter had are PRICELESS... And I agree with "fishinfiend." I'm sitting here looking at that Kitty and licking my lips like a dog waiting for a bone.
  24. You forgot to take your medicine today didn't you?
