  3. There is a tournament tomorrow (Saturday) out of Lake Osborne at safe light. My partner canceled at last minute. Entry fee is $30 per boat and I believe it's a team effort. If so, then all winnings will be split 50/50 including big fish. We will be fishing from my boat, 19' Tracker. We more than likely will fish Lake Clarke Shores and the Airport Hilton lakes. Call me at (561) 662-0784 before 11:00 pm tonight if you want to go. Doug.

  5. Nice fish. The temps have been absolutely great lately. A bit windy, but tolerable. Halloween ruined my evening bass trip to the local pond but it's good to see someone else catching them.
  6. I send my girl out into the woods until her friend leaves.
  7. That also happened to me at a bed and breakfast in St. Augustine but I dont remember the name. I wonder if it was the same one.
  8. Exactly what he said.
  9. ok, thank you.
  10. I swear I have a ghost in my house. Atleast 3-4 times a week, while sitting here in the living room playing on the computer, I see this shadow. It comes from the hall closet and goes into the laundry room, which are directly across from each other. I was sitting here late the other night browsing BR when I caught a glimpse of a shadow out the corner of my eye. The laundry room door was opened about 6 inches and the light went on. I assumed the wife had gotten out of bed to turn the dryer back on. I continued reading posts when I noticed the light go out. I instantaneously called out for my wife but no answer. I went into the bedroom and woke her up. She was sound to sleep and snoring. I went into my sons room and woke him up. He was also sound to sleep and ticked OFF that I woke him up. The wife insists it's her deceased grandfather. She claims he would frequently appear in her parents house before we got married. Like I said, this happens about 3-4 times a week that I have noticed. I went a long time not saying anything to anyone until the laundry room light went on.
  11. 10 inch T-rigged worm.
  12. now i feel even stupider. STUPIDER, now there's a word for dummies.
  13. I can't complain at all for a reel at this price point. It is exceptionally smooth and just the right size. It also only weighs 6.95 oz which pretty awesome. If you decide to buy one, a quick check of the reel's weight on the package will tell you if it is the same one that I have. So far, it has performed superbly and has never let me down. The Sahara has a smooth drag and casts very well. The 750 is graphite. I also use mine for saltwater but very rarely. Just make sure you rinse it very well. I also have the Shimano Stradic 2500 which I love but is too big to be ultralight. I bout my dad this Penn and he likes it a lot. I haven't fished it though. It's the Penn Sargus 2000. It weighs 2oz more than the Sahara and cost about $15 more but will probably suit your needs better for saltwater. http://www.tackledirect.com/penn-sargus-metal-spinning-reels.html
  14. You got me good. I just finished writing a 5 minute reply to someone and forgot to look at the clock before hitting send. I forgot all about the maintenance mode time.
  15. Are you smoking crack?
  16. I've got the same reel on a 6'6 G-Loomis SR782 IMX. I use 4 and 6 pound mono. The reel is good for the money and the rod is awesome. I use beetle spins, 1/8oz spinner baits and small jigs, cranks and 4" worms. Very versatile.
  17. So be a pal and send the savings on to us. You take PayPal?
  18. then why ain't ya still out there? if you were still fishing, you'd be up to at least a 15 pounder by now. ;D HaHa. That would be nice but it's a freezing 53 degrees right now. Don't forget us Florida boys get cold easily.
  19. but not super big. The boss let us off work early today so I raced home and grabbed a couple rods. I took one lipless crank and one pack of worms. I forgot the name of the crank but it's aurora blue or black in color with rattles. It's also missing one hook, thanks to the Peacocks. The worms were Charlie Worms 8" June Bug (because I ran out of my Gene Larew 12"ers). The air temp was 69 degrees when I got out of the truck and had dropped to 63 when I finished. Bluebird skies and gusty winds. This was the first one I got. She ate the worm. I caught one more that was almost identical. I moved locations and got this one on a worm also but she was a tad bit bigger than the first two. I moved spots again after going to the store to get some munchies. Orange Crush and cheese crackers with peanut butter in the middle. The next two also came on a worm and again progressively got bigger. By the way, these were fish 4 and 5. All caught on the same worm before it ripped beyond repair. I decided to use the lipless crank next. My worm rod was really no match for these fish. My crank rod is a bit lighter so I thought it would be more exiting, only the fish kept getting bigger. and bigger and then the biggest and last. She wasn't real big but probably a solid 5.5. Which was a blast on the crank with #10 mono. These fish literally started out small and got bigger and bigger. Each one I caught was bigger than the last, which was kinda cool considering a cold front moved in earlier this morning and we're expected to have record lows tonight. for looking.
  20. I can't remember the last time I seen such a sucky crew of umpires. These guys suck. The Rays should just walk off the field.
  21. CONGRATS
  22. If you could date the 10 hottest women in the world at the same time, would you leave 8 of them at home while you took the other 2 out or would you take them all? I'd take them all. Each one would have her own special function.
  23. G-Loomis GLX BCR853. This is the 7'1 12-16LB worm rod. Shimano Calcutta TE100DC. This is going to set you back about $800-$900 but very well worth it. I also believe in holding the rod and reel before buying but no need to do so with this set up.
  24. It is actually law to remove your hat and cover your heart during the singing of the National Anthem at all sporting events. I agree it is a hard song to sing. I don't mind it sounding bad as long as it's not done on purpose, like Rosanne Barr did several years back. Now she should have gone to jail.
  25. It sure aint 18 bass here in Florida. The fact is they can't keep ANY game fish caught with a net. Plus, they don't even have a fishing license to use the net.
