I"m having a CAT scan or MRI today at 4;30. I forget which one I'm having but it doesn't matter. The fact is that I worked lastnight until 5am. I had to get up at 8:30am to drink this horrible banana flavored sulfate suspension and then again at 3pm. Whoever thought this sh** tasted like bananas needs to have their taste buds examined. Rotten fish smells better than this crap tastes. I had an incredible stomach cramp Saturday that lasted 6 hours w/out letting up. I went to the doctor and was told I had to have MRI/CAT scan to rule out kidney stones since they found a small trace of blood in my urine. I think it may be an ulcer but we'll see. Anyway, I just finished the banana flavored horse poo so I'm gonna try and go back to bed.

I fished the 441 (SR7) canal today for about 45 minutes before work. I caught 4 Peacocks and this was the biggest, about 3 pounds. You will notice the lure I used to cath them is a Rapala minnow. The same size and kind as the Rapla I sent out for the BR Lure Fun season 1, except this one is black over silver. The air temp was in the mid 60's and I don't know what the water temp was. I had one bigger than this one folow the lure up to the bank and swipe at it but couldn't get a hook set. These Peacocks are some good fighters. Much more so than regular bass, LMB anyways. Never caught a smally to compare them to.

The park closed at dark and there was a little problem with the A-hole jet skiiers hogging the boat ramp and causing a disturbance so someone called the Sheriff. The Sheriff ran them off and the he left to go check the rest of the park. We had just trailered our boats when he returned. He got on his PA and announced the park was closed and for us to hurry up. BocaBassn and Glades didn't know I knew the Deputy so I started yelling at him to chillout, that we'll get done when we're done. The deputy didn't recognize me at first and announced over the PA that we need to trailer our boats before sunset next time. I yelled back "whatever dude, it's not like your busy or anything so relax." The Deputy got out of his car and started approaching me when he recognized me. It was funny to see the other two guys face. They were like, holly sht. Is Doug crazy or what? Hes going to jail.

Waht up guys? I had a good time too. It was fun trying to fish new water and not knowing really where to go. The blue bird skies didn't help either. I boated 5 for total weight of about 5 pounds, the 3 being the biggest. If it went a full 3. I'm fishing a tourny this Saturday the 6th. We launch from Osborne so I'll probally motor down to Ida and try and fish those humps I found. The Saturday tourny is an open tourny (non club) and I believe you pay at the launch site. Either 15 or 30 bucks a boat. What tourny is Sunday? Do you need to be a club member? Perhaps I can persuade the wife into letting me fish both days. I'll finish hanging the X-mas lights and take her out for dinner. Better yet, I'l just tell her I'm going and leave at that.

I think I'll wait to see what Shimano comes out with. I really don't need another reel and I'm sure I still be able to find the 50mg if I dont like the new reels. I was just looking to replace my Premier and Curado 100. This is my second Premier. I sent the first one back because of the horrible squeeching noise it makes when you cast it. Cabellas sent me another and it does it to. It seems to be a coin toss with the Premeirs if they grind or not when casted.

I was channel surfing and stopped to watch the MTV European Music Awards. Kid Rock came on and sang his new song of Sweet Home Alabama (I think that's the name, remake). He got to the part in the song where he says " We were trying different things and smoking funny things" when I noticed "smoking" was dubbed out with an inaudible word. I guess it was ok for the younger viewers who were watching but what about the radio stations who play the real version.

Well, after 5 years of procrastination I finally decided to take the wife shopping for Christmas lights and decorations to hang outside. I got half way through screwing the hooks into the facia boards and it started to rain/pour. Oh well, the motivation has now left so I guess she'll have to wait 5 more years.

Is it for a tourny or just to go fishing?

Salamander, I somewhat agree with the first part of your statement about Loomis only having two superior rods but that doesnt mean the Mossyback, GL2 and 3 are Junk. If Loomis stopped producing the IMX or GLX then I would have to rod shop all over again, testing many brands. I've owned St. Croix and like there rods but I like Loomis better. I do feel as though you are way off base about the entire St. Croix line being "great" rods. What does a rod have to live up to to be "great"? I am 100% confident with ANY rod you put in my hands but I choose Loomis because I can afford to AND there is a huge diference in the way they fish over most rods on the market.

Here's my 2 cents. I have 7 Loomis rods. All are either GLX or IMX except two. My crankbait rod and my flipping stick. My flipping stick is a Mossyback only because I don't flip for very long otherwise it would have been a GLX. The crankbait rod is whatever blank Loomis uses. I won't wast my money buying anything other than GLX or IMX for most of my applications. I'll go without until I save enough money if I have to.

My Grandma watched the parade faithfully every year before she died 10 yrs ago. I woke up today and turned the parade on to watch it with Grandma, memories, but after 5 minutes I said "Sorry Grandma but these people suck" and turned the channel. Perhaps the parade got better after I turned the channel but if not, then the person in charge of organizing it needs to be fired.

Ok Kevin. I'll be there and we can fish lost together. I'll be in a red Tracker and a beige F150 king cab. There is a front coming in tonight and the high for tomorrow is supposed to be around 72 so I hope we don't get skunked. We can also go earlier if you/yall want to. Would 1 be better? I'm seriously debating on buying another 50mg but I don't know if I should wait. I'd hate not to get one and then be dissapointed with whatever comes out and not be able to find a new 50mg anywhere. Anyone else feel the same? Who has the Core and how do you like it? Don't bother posting about anything other than Shimano. I could care less.
