  1. Round baitcast reel: Calcutta TE 100DC. Can be had new for around $530. An absolute gem. Low Profile: Not really high but the Chronarch 50mg. There are other higher end reels out there but this one is my favorite low profile. On sale $181 at TW,
  2. It looks like the head doesn't belong on it.
  3. Aren't kids great?
  4. Good Luck. We've had high pressure and the fishing has been SLOW. I will send out Lure #2 as soon as you finish and send Lure #1 back to me.
  5. You're gonna wish you had a baitcasing outfit when that 8 pounder smashes that fluke on top of the grass bed.
  6. The only 2 piece rod should be a fly rod. Step up in the sport of fishing and buy yourself a 1 piece baicasting/spinning rod. I never seen a car too small that couldn't adequately transport a 1 piece rod.
  7. LBH is probably driving the brown UPSmobile going or standing on the street corner trying to sell sweatshirts.
  8. That sounds more like a full course meal instead of a snack.. Sound scrumptious though.
  9. Why aren't you studying? Work later, learn to spell. Buy, not by.
  10. Why does it have to be like this? Why? This happened in my hometown. A family in suburban West Palm Beach was tragically struck by devastation earlier this week. A mother of two was gunned down by her estranged boyfriend in front of her two children and her mother. The grandmother has inherited the two year old Ariel, and 3 year old Reggie. The boyfriend then shot himself. Two days later, the residence where it occurred was found to be burglarized of the majority of their possessions including the Christmas tree, all of the presents, a bed, computer, coffee table etc. They were cleaned out.
  11. Well, do we need to put out an "Amber Alert"? NOVA, where is your little brother? Quick, someone call the ! Nova's brother is getting his .
  12. Very clever and true.
  13. Talapia are very good eating. Taste wise anyways. I recently heard, probably false, that Talapia are very high in cholesterol. I didn't do any research on this though.
  14. I thought the body kind of resembled a grouper also, almost.
  15. I didn't understand Muddy's post until you replied BassnLeo. If I understand what is being said then let me add something. A topped out Deputy (no rank) is 86k a year but it takes I believe 16-18 yrs to get there. And that's only if he's in the Career Deputy path. Our retirement system is 25 yrs of service before you can retire and collect below the normal retirement age. However, you would be vested after six yrs. You just wouldn't be able to collect retirement if you quit after 6 yrs unless you're the right age. Our retirement is based on 3% each year you work. So 25 yrs would be 75% of your salary. That 75% is from your 5 highest paid years. So if you made 100k, 90k 120k, 95k and 100k in your 5 highest paid years then you would take that average which would be 101k. 75% of 101k is just over 75k a year retirement. We CAN work overtime and have that money added into out top 5 highest years. Health insurance is what's going to hurt after retirement unless you retire as a Captain or above. They get full medical benefits after retirement. Right now I pay $190 a month for family PPO medical insurance and $38 for family dental. I expect to pay about 1k a month for the same when I retire unless our bargaining unit works something out. We also continue to get COLA (cost of living) after retirement. Our average COLA is 3% a year. I could never in a 100 years complain about my benefits compared to most people in todays work force and for this I am extremely grateful.
  16. Anyone interested in a "joke of the week" thread. Start it on a Monday and vote the winner on Sunday? Perhaps no more jokes after 1pm Sunday and vote the winner by 8pm.
  17. No SH**! I too have the same one and it collects more dust than the A/C filter. Good gift though...
  18. That was by far the funniest I heard in a while. However, the sight of a jelly roll, fried chicken skin lady posing in the nude makes me want to
  19. that explains your "behavior" at the ramp that night. as a teacher for 10 years, if i could do it all over again i would have been a fire fighter. those cats got it made! LOL, Ok, I confess... Believe it or not but that Deputy used to be a reserve Deputy and come out and ride with me. His regular job was with the IRS. He retired from the IRS and went to the police academy and just recently finished his training. He's 63 years old I believe.
  20. I have the CBR843 and pair it with a Diawa Sol (only Diawa I own). This is an AWESOME crank bait set up BUT it is a tad light for deep cranks that run over 5'. I am currently looking at the next level higher, 845 I believe, in the Loomis line of crank rods to add for my deeper cranks. I Think I'm using #10 mono on it but possibly #12. Pretty sure it's 10 though. I forget. Anyway, I throw a 3 inch Rapala floater minnow with no effort at all. I also use up to 1/2 ounce traps on it.
  21. is on VH1. His Christmas spectacular.
  22. draw a number and wait until next year.
  23. cool, i'll post here too. Looks like you made out pretty good dude.
  24. I love flan. I was eating at a Cuban rest. one time and ordered some flan. I was shocked when I saw the waitress pour Aunt Jemima pancake syrup over the top of it. I never knew what the topping was made out of but I never would have thought pancake syrup.
  25. Nice gifts but I thought Burley already started this thread. Just below this one.
