Sorry but no pictures.
19 boats entered today's tournament, which is down about 5 from last month. 1st place was 19 pounds with a 7.1 kicker for big fish. I took 2nd with 12 pounds which kind of stunk because another guy tied me so he and I split the money for 2nd and 3rd. 4th place was just over 9 pounds.
I started the morning out throwing a spinner bait and chug bug with no success. 45 minutes into the day I said to myself "today is going to be tough." Water temp was 69, water visibility was HORRIBLE and blue bird skies for most the day. I saw some birds up in the distance swooping down to the surface which could only mean one thing, SHAD. I picked up my crank bait rod and BOOM. I put 3 fish in the live well in about 10 minutes. I was throwing a Lucky Craft GDS Mini DR in Tennessee shad color.
The sun was getting high and the shad went deep and I couldn't find them. I flipped the lilly pads for the next 3 hours to finish out my best 5. Now my back is KILLING me.
