  1. I go on a regular basis. We can go but I have to blind fold on the way if we go to my spots.
  2. Hey, I think there's an echo in here.
  3. Start at the top of this screen where it says "Fishing Articles." If you still have questions when you're done reading then ask away.
  4. Ditto. And I live in Florida.
  5. I'll take lake 2 because I like to argue. Here's why. 1. I know everyone here will be in Lake #1 which means I'll have lake #2 to myself. 2. No matter how pressured, a bass will not turn down a live gill or wild shiner. 3. I like the challenge of fishing the pressured lake and besides, I am confident in my fish catching abilities. #4. Apparently lake #2 is still producing fish because people fish it on a weekly basis. 5. You only have one day to fish. I can ask those who fish Lake #2 where the best spot is to help with my chances. You have no one to ask about lake #1. * It's like not pre-fishing before a tournament or asking the locals about the lake before a tourny. 6. (realistically, I'd take #1 too)
  6. How about the dangers of fertilizer and pesticide run-offs into our lakes and canals. This by far is more damaging than a lead sinker. Yes, lead weights are bad and can be substituted but focus your attention away from the fisherman.
  7. Paul, I don't think I have anything to worry about either. I know the fish in my scenario aren't conditioned to not hit. That's what I was trying to say by mentioning how often this lake is fished and with the same baits. We still pull out numbers on a regular basis. And if by chance we don't, on a particular day, then I attribute it to the weather or other natural phenomena. Now get your ARS down here and teach me some techniques on locating/catching the big ones in there. I'm stuck on 8# and my buddy 9.13 so I know they are in there.
  8. I'm pretty sure I've been on here everyday year round.
  9. Are the fish being returned to the same lake after each day or removed? If removed, how many ? If removed, then the population is being reduced so naturally the number caught is going to drop which may make it more difficult to catch the same amount as day 1. Not necessarily because they are used to the bait. Look at this scenario. I fish a 110 acre lake/pond. This body of water is closed off from any canal, lake or other body of water. The lake is fed from a couple aquafers though. Only 3 people have access to this lake to fish but each person can bring a guest. The lake is fished once a week from 1 to 4 anglers at a time. My best 7 hour day is just over 140 bass. Yesterday, my brother and I went out for 2.5 hours and caught between 25-30 bass. Another guy on the lake and his buddy caught the same as us. We fished the exact amount of time. The 4 baits I fish on this lake are : worms jigs crankbaits spook/topwater. ALL fish are catch and release. How long do we have before we can't catch anymore fish on the lures presented?
  10. No, that's not correct. It has nothing to do with satellites, and it NOT controlled, activated, or operated by law enforcement (or any other gov't agency for that matter). What the cell phone company does, at the request of authorities, is "ping" the cell phone (send a brief signal). They can then triangulate the general area of where the cell phone is using the cell towers that register the phone's signal to help authorities narrow down their search to a specific area. But we do have technology and use it daily that will put us smack in the middle of your lap.
  11. That looks like one nasty Bowel Movement.
  12. I tried to get you to buy one last month with me when they were 5 bucks cheaper but you wouldn't. I couldn't resist any longer.
  13. I have no clue what it's like to fish in the Midwest but I'd feel more than comfortable with my regular 5 rod set up. 1. G Loomis 7'1 M/H GLX BCR853, Calcutta TE100DC 15 Yo-Zuri mono 8-10" worms. 2. G-Loomis 7'1 M/H GLX BCR853, Calcutta TE100DC 15 Yo-Zuri mono, Jigs 3. G-Loomis 7' M CBR843C, Daiwa Sol, 10 Invisex Fluoro, Crank baits-Traps 4. G-Loomis 7' M GLX MBR842C, Chronarch 50mg, 10 mono, Small jerk baits 5. G-Loomis 7' IMX M/H MBR843C, Chronarch 50mg, 12 Yo-Zuri mono, Flukes, topwater (Spooks, Skitter walk). I may substitute #4 with my flipping stick/swimbait rod. G-Loomis 7'5 M/H Mossyback BCFR893, Calcutta 200TE, 20 mono.
  14. You da man! No better way to start your day..
  15. According to IMDB.com there is more Clint coming... I am the Clint commander! I don't think so. "Are you going to pull those pistols or whistle Dixie?" -Owtlaw Jose Wales.
  16. I just watched Gran Torino and thought Clint was great, as always. Who else plays a tough guy role as natural as him? I hope he stays around to make/act more movies.
  17. MMMMMM, Vanilla creme. I like Dr.Browns black cherry soda too.
  18. Don't worry Muddy, here's how bad we have it in S. Florida today. Its 69 right now at 2:07 pm. The kids are going to the fair, the wife, baby and I are going to a BBQ and the bass are moving onto the beds. The high for tomorrow is around 74 which means the bass fishing should be dynamite. I'll take some good pictures for ya. I think perhaps I will wear flip flops tomorrow.
  19. Only if it's a name like SMUCKERS!
  20. haha, I was just thinking the same thing.
  21. Ok, I finally found the rod you are talking about at the BP site. I would definitely go with the medium heavy and 10 pound mono. The set up may be a little lite for the technique you wanted to fish though. I would go with a 1/8 ounce worm weight, 7.5 inch worm and 3/0 straight shank or tru-turn hook. This rig will catch you a ton of bass.. You will be able to cast better/easier with the 10 pound mono and the over all sensitivity will be better too.
  22. Lets take this one step at a time. What kind of spinning reel are you buying? What model? What size line are you going to use? Mono or braid? What is your price range for the rod?
  23. 2 and 3 are false. Fox 29 news aired this on t.v.
  24. Get the M/H and try to get it 7'.
