Also of relevance Is the fact that saint Tiger layed with those ladies so he's as much of a W**** as they ever thought of being, not to mention that the vows he took obviously meant little to nothing.
I have read many, many opinions about this on other outlets and the endless defense by some folks in this big world of this lying adulterer Is stunning to me and has made me wonder how the lines of decency have become so blurred.
For clarity: The last paragraph Is my own ramblings Bassn Blvd and as such weren't related to the quoted post above.
None taken. I'm not defending Tiger at all. I'm just trying to shed some light on the other side. Tiger committed an unforgivable sin to his wife and kids but I look at it like this- Who the hell is Tiger and why do I care what he does. Tiger doesn't influence me or my family by what he does in his time off the course. He doesn't pay my bills or fold my laundry. I think people put too much faith in athletes by thinking they are supposed to be "perfect." Imo opinion, athletes are paid WAY TOO much money and therefore it seems we, the people who watch and don't play, rely on them to lead the way for us and our children. When the athlete screws up then we act as those "we" were the ones cheated. I wasn't cheated by Tiger. As an athlete, I like him. As a husband/father, well, that's a different story.
Many of us would be SHOCKED if we knew the background or current activities some of our friends are secretly involved.
I guess I'm just the odd one out for having a different outlook. When my kids say "I want to be like Tiger, Vick, or whomever" I simply say. No, you're not going to be like them. You're going to be your own person with your own morals and grow up to be an athlete who is better than them and kick there ARS."
