  1. Welcome to the club! I don't remember where, but I saw somewhere someone had put a tray in no problem. It's something that I'm planning to do. I have found it uncomfortable running the trolling motor while standing.
  2. It's been kind of quite here lately. When I ordered my spare transom saver I got a compass. I just installed that on the top center of the console. When I made my order to West Marine I only had the transom saver and the compass. I was a little concerned about this order, and was very surprised when TWO packages arrived. The transom saver and the compass shipped separately. I know if I had ordered the two with anyone else they would have dropped the compass in the same box as the transom saver, which would have pounded the compass all the way to my house. Two thumbs up to West Marine .
  3. Just finished the jaime mod to my gas tank. My hose was still on pretty good, but I'm not going to wait for it to fall off for such a simple fix. Anyone doing this your going to have to unscrew the nipple from the assembly to get to the last screw. It takes maybe a total of ten minutes if you take your time.
  4. When all else fails, and it often does, I throw a Rapala Ultra Light Minnow size 4/Chrome. Everything hits this. https://amazon.com/dp/B005OSYWM0/?coliid=I48BAMG1BOMQE&colid=39ILC0QR4E09L&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1&psc=1
  5. I just checked my transom saver and it still looks good. Used but good. West Marine has the saver now for $9.55, I jumped on that. I also checked my tail lights, and they are still tight. I put some loc-tite on the threads. So far so good.
  6. Excellent. Thanks for the bimini demo!
  7. I haven't bought anything yet. I still have another month, maybe two before I'm done for the season. I'll post what I do.
  8. I've been storing my boat cover in the box it came in and it's starting to look bad. I just ordered this duffel from Amazon and everything fits great with room to spare. https://amazon.com/gp/product/B01GGNW5AM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  9. I'm in the same boat. I occasionally fish with my wife and she doesn't do well with the heat. We have been out a few times when the sun was brutal, but we were lucky to find some tree shade to anchor in for a break. I'm 5-9 and I think I will just fit under the 54"H bimini's. The shorter 46"H bimini's I think would offer a little more protection, the sun is never coming straight down. I think having the strap support front and back might be a little better, than having a rear poll support. I could tilt the cover forward or back, depending sun position. At 6' your always going to be hunkered under the canopy unless you raise it some. I have some cleats I want to install mid-way on the boat, but I'm waiting to decide on a bimini to install first.
  10. Nice. Do you have all of the pieces? You could try gluing it back together. The plastic is cheap so it should take the glue pretty well.
  11. Not at all. Everyone needs a retro GPS fish finder.
  12. You want to stay with LED's also. The incandescent will only be a problem down the road for you. That engine mount is an interesting thing. I've never seen that before.
  13. Occasionally tap the caps with your foot. If they rattle, time to readjust. It's also a good time to give the axles a shot or two of grease.
  14. Anyone change their oil yet? The filter on my engine says 35-877768K01. Of course I can't find that, but it looks like most of the filters stamped 4 Stroke will fit. It's short like the 35-877761K01 so I'll probably go with that. None of the kits have 10W-30 so I'm going to have to buy it all separate.
  15. Try hooking up the boat and chock the tires front and back. Have someone gently drive forward and back, not over the chocks, and try to replicate the noise. Of course don't get between the vehicle and boat, maybe you can see/hear where the problem is.
  16. I'm usually fishing one side or the other. The center will keep it even for me.
  17. Yep that would be a warranty issue. I have have considered screwing down my foot control. If I do it will be center.
  18. I'm planning a complete detail at the end of the season. My hull needs some extra attention, it's pretty discolored. I'm hoping a good cleaning and wax will help for next year.
  19. I mounted my 2 bank Minn Kota charger flat close to the transom. It is heavy and I didn't want to mount it vertically with only self-tappers. I figured the safest way to mount it would be flat on the bottom of the storage area. I only use the one tank. Range hasn't been a problem for me, I use the trolling motor more than the engine. I should have put a hour meter on the trolling motor just to see what kind of time I have on it.
  20. We went night fishing last night. I'm not a fan of night fishing, but it was nice being on the boat at night. Calm water, no breeze that was relaxing . We were the last out at the launch, no other trailers around.
  21. Nice! Ha, I noticed that wing in the background.
  22. Just a shot in the dark here, but it sounds like you have an air leak somewhere. I would start with the engine and work my way down to the tank to make sure your fittings are air tight. If you take it back to the dealer they are going to put the exact same equipment back into the boat. I've always thought some of the fuel system seemed a little sketchy so if I have any problems, I'll change out what I can myself with a better quality item. Knock on wood my boat has been running strong so far, well except that time it took me a little while to figure out the emergency kill switch was down .
