  1. I just about fish exclusively spincast. I like the Omega line and have both sizes. My biggest problem has been the line wearing into the spinner head. Mono and/or braid. They last about one season and the heads have to be replaced. You can cast braid with a spincast, but it works better with a heavier line. Experiment with what works best for you.
  2. It doesn't get much more beginner than this: https://www.trackerboats.com/boat/?boat=4316
  3. I've been looking at drift socks. What size are you using and how much does it help? I have been wondering if it would be worth it, adding one more thing to manage while I fish. Some of the more open bodies of water with no wind break, it can make for a lot of work. I have a 12lb. river anchor which I use quite a bit if it's windy, but of course it too has it's draw backs. When it's windy my trolling motor battery is close to dead when I finish for the day. I fish a river by me with a current of about 3 mph(gps) and the trolling motor doesn't make it to the end of the day there, and that's floating down stream. I haven't done any major upgrades yet. A bimini will be on it before it's next journey. A trolling motor with spot lock is definitely on the radar.
  4. Kill switch in correctly? That bit me a few times last season .
  5. Unless you can be 100% sure water won't get in, I would leave it as is. My opinion the fluid film you used is your best bet to keep the hitch working/looking new. I have a few trailers, keep the moving parts lubed through out the year and you should have no problems down the road.
  6. From what i understand there are no supports in the way. You will have to make your way through the foam somehow for a drain. If you do it, take some pics or a video for us to check out
  7. Well, if your motor calls for 50 amps use that. If you use a larger breaker, you run the risk of frying your wiring/motor if you pull more than 50 amps. Don't use a lower amp breaker, you might be tripping it all of the time for no good reason and become frustrated with the situation. What other people get away with...that should be another thread.
  8. Nice. Are you still working on Part 2? I'd like to see that equipment in action.
  9. I noticed that mystery plate is listed at BPS.
  10. It's your boat, do what is comfortable for you. Take pics and post of your progress when you do it.
  11. I just found that. Interesting, my transom still looks good. You could always contact Tracker and see what they say.
  12. I saw that. I'll keep my Heritage for now.
  13. Just the front plate that has the plug for the trolling motor.
  14. Ha, Tracker still doesn't have the '19 Heritage listed on their web site, and on their Facebook page they show a glimpse of the boat, then you can sign up for more info. Jamieastin has the jump on them. Nice . For me, I'm ahead with the '18 model. I don't fish anyplace that is big enough I need two gas tanks. Time wise, I'm always on my trolling motor. Those fish finders won't help me anymore than what I have. The lakes I fish are too shallow to see any fish below me. Something with side scan would be what I'm looking for. I got my spare for around $100, not that big of a deal and a lot cheaper than what BPS/Tracker wants . The stainless prop on the other hand is nice. My aluminum prop looks a little worse for wear. It had a rough rookie season. I'm glad Tracker is still building the Heritage. We should have no problem getting parts during our warranty period. It will be interesting to see how well they sell with the price increase .
  15. It's my understanding that it's for a speedometer. I saw that yesterday, the Bass Tracker Classic they are calling it. Waiting to see the exact specs.
  16. Nice. Post pics when you start your install. Thanks.
  17. This is the only other pic I have. You might try Facebook. They have a Tracker Heritage group with a lot of modifications going on there. It can get a little nuts there at times .
  18. Here you go. Roll this out of the truck to the shore and your ready to go. It should pack away at the condo just fine. https://www.ultraskiff.com/
  19. Recessed trays are simple to put in. The traumatic part is cutting into your deck. A search of some videos will show you how. I saved this pic from somewhere but don't remember where I got it.
