  1. We have had a similar issue here. One lake that I went to the water was down and you could see where bass had made beds before the water dropped and they were nearly out of the water. Hopefully the major wave still be able to spawn successfully. There is also other lakes where the water is up about 4 feet and you can't really see any beds but I have seen fry so should be fine there.
  2. If you are willing to spend $15 you can transfer them with your mapping card. Navionics has a thing called Plotter Sync, which allows you to transfer markers and trails from your plotter to your phone via the Boating HD app. You have to have an active subscription with navionics (the $15). Here is more info on it: https://www.navionics.com/usa/charts/features/plotter-sync Once you have the app you should be able to sync it with your phone which would transfer the makers and trails from your old Lowrance to your phone. Then you could sync your phone to the new Lowrance and it should show all your markers. Just a warning, I haven't used this service so I can't say it there are any issues with it but it seems pretty straight forward.
  3. I have had the chip in for a while and I haven't had any issues. Recently I updated my chip and now when I go to the map it is dark. Like I can still see everything but its very dim and hard to see. I tried messing with the settings and I don't seem to have any settings that should cause this. The graph's brightness is all the way up and looks normal on sonar and structure scan. I had a Lowrance Elite elite 7 Ti. This all started happening after I linked my graph to the navionics app on my phone. Anyone know what the issue is?
  4. That would be nice, wish Lowrance had the same.
  5. What website do y'all use to track your waypoints? I work at a computer all day and look at maps all the time, but I wish I had a way to mark something if I find it.
  6. Thanks for the picture. Helped out a lot!
  7. I bought some LED lights to add to my deck. I have never ran lights/wiring before and I am looking for some advice on how to hook them up to my switch panel. I have seen some videos online about how to wire a complete switch panel, but they are all about a complete wiring with a new switch panel. I already have a switch panel with an open spot to add something. I have 4 lights that I want to add. Does anyone know of an article or video I can use? Or does anyone here have any advice? Not sure if it maters, but I have a Ranger 170VS. Thanks!
  8. Yeah i have some super glue, and i use it if i run completely out. Guess i'll just keep having to do that.
  9. Does anyone know where to get them cheaper? I mean the price ($5.99-$6.99) isn't that bad, but when i go through 1-2 packs in a day if they are bitting it good.
  10. I use 1/16oz jig heads a good bit but i haven't thrown 2.8". I usually throw 3.3" or 3.8" on them in super shallow water(4' or less) or near structure. The 1/16oz jig heads i use are homemade and the hook would't work good on a 2.8". If you could find some 1/16oz jig heads with a small enough hook then i would use it for sure.
  11. Currently weather shows thunderstorms with a 12mph SW wind, not ideal lol. I think i am just gonna put in Spiers and fish around church island. I don't wont to cross any big water if there is gonna be bad weather. Thanks for the help!
  12. Yeah ill probably just go slow when i'm not in the channel. My buddy told me to go to ducks pond, which i think is near the hatchery so it might be a long slow ride ? The area i plan on fishing in on Moultrie. i have a navionics chip for my graph so hopefully that will help. I'll just have to drive careful and slower than i normally would.
  13. I am planning on going to Santee this Friday for the first time in my boat. I've fished as a co-angler twice so i have a very basic understand of the lake. Does anybody from that area have any tips or a map for navigation? EDIT: And when I say navigating I don't mean which creeks are where and such. There are area's you can ride in safely and area's you cant, just looking for some help on how to tell where to ride. I will mostly be fishing around Church Is. area. Thanks
  14. Yeah they got some big ones now, but i have 10-15 yr old BPS rods that are more durable. I should mention i'm rough on my equipment, and i don't mind changing eyes every now and again but for this to happen 3 times in 1 year on two different rods is a bad indicator for me.
  15. I haven't tried the baits so I can't say about them, but i don't think i will be buying anymore Favorite rods.
