Around here we have something we call grinnel but there known as bowfin but another species of them is snakeshead. Does anybody actually like or go out to catch these. We generally do not like catching them because it seems like a bass and we get a grinnel. does anybody actually go out and try to catch these like most people do bass or crappie?

I need a all purpose rod to pair with pfueger president 6935 spinning real. Under $80 by all purpose I mean that would be good for most types of bass fishing.

The red eye shad crankbait is generally my go 2 bait in most situations. There newest bait is the 18k Tennessee shad. Just wondering if anybody has used it with much luck. I also noticed they changed the blue gill color?

I used the fire tiger red eye shad 1/4 ounce in murky water. It was around 3 foot deep. Caught crappie and a few bass

When fishing for bass in Rivers/creeks

My bad for not clarifying but this isn't a survival situation. This is for sport fishing for bass. The goal is to catch as many fish as you can and you can only bring one lure.

What are some good creeks/lakes in the Mobile River to fish in?

I plan on getting The Pfluger President and 7'0 Medium Heavy lighting rod as primary freshwater fishing combo. My combo now is pretty bad. I need a new one. This will be my combo for mainly bass but I'll try to catch other freshwater fish as well. This isn't fora specific size just whatever gets on the hook. Would this be a good combo?

I want to get a new rod and reel but I'm considering just a reel. Keep in mind I'm only a high school student. I only use one setup. I'm not going to have 7-8 rods and reels for different techniques. I have $100 dollars at the moment and I planned on getting $50 more to buy a new rod and reel but right now I have ugly stick 6' medium rod. Should I just buy a whole new combo for $150 or is the ugly stick good enough with a $100 reel?

What is the best rod and reel combo for under $150. I need one setup and I can generally use for most baits. I don't have the money to buy 10 different setups for 10 different techniques. I need a good all around setup for bass fishing. Also I don't use top water baits. So that might help with a ansnwer.
