I really like my carbonlights. I actually prefer my carbonlights over my st croix premiers because I found the carbonlight to be lighter, better balanced, more sensitive, and have a more comfortable grip for me.
This is in grains. 15.4 grains is 1 gram. .4 grain difference. A standard split ring from a Crankbait weighs 1.1 grains. That .4gr is such a small amount, they basically weigh the same.
If anyone is able to help me out I lost a G Loomis NRX 7ft5 extra Heavy fast jig rod and Curado 200HG reel over the side of the boat the other day. If anyone ends up finding it somehow I would really appreciate it if they let me know. Thanks.
These are great! Thought I'd pick up some of the wraps after handling my brothers Lews that had them on it. They aren't too thick so they don't add a lot of bulk to the existing grips. They're very grippy, soft, and just feel right in my hand. The small 44" pack was just enough to do these four rods. I wasn't going to do the spinning rod but didn't know what else to do with the leftover strip. Just a tip, electrical tape works better for taping off the ends then the little tape strips that come with the grips.
I'm not going to compare a PQ to a curado, but I picked up 3 PQ and at $50 it's a steal. I love these reels. My brother has used his PQ for river fishing salmon and caught tons of King, Pink, silver, and chums on it over the years and it's still going strong.
