  1. can someone please tell me the difference in fishing lines and when to use them like with 5 baits what line to use with : spinnerbait senko/any t-rigged plasitc crankbait jig shakey head jig
  2. thanks
  3. There is no "normal." Didn't you ever seen the movie Angus? ;D I'm completely obsessed with bass fishing. No other fishing, but when it comes to bass... well, I'm sure you understand. My wife gives me this look every time I leave to head for the water. I know some of you can relate. haha lol
  4. thanks for the help
  5. im 16 and i am a fully fledged member of B.A.S.S. can i fish B.A.S.S. tournaments or can i only fish Jr. B.A.S.S. tournaments?
  6. the way i can make pin point cast's are i hold the rod straight up in front of me at 12 o clock , release the spool friction (pushing the button) pull the rod back to 3-4 o clock and cast it out , it takes some time getting used to and just practice , practice ect. flipping and pitching ( http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/flipping_pitching.html http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/flipping_pitching_fishing.html ) slow roll is a retrieval ( reeling in ) when you cast ur spinnerbait out let it sink to the bottom (watch for a strike on the fall) and you reel it in slowly so it maintains contact with the bottom. the texas rig and the carolina rig are mainly for plastics like worms , or lizards here is some info on that (http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/worm_rigs.html http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/Texas_Carolina_bass_fishing.html ) if you want to find more info search the site under the techniques tab and all the other tabs just my $ . 02 good luck and tight lines bud
  7. also one more thing , when its windy use a CRANKBAIT! good luck and tight lines.
  8. in the river just try topwaters and senkos because after it rains bugs n stuff fall from the trees and worms(senko's) may be washed down into the river due to alot of rain
  9. top waters should work fine , but in small ponds since there may not be shad in em , so their main food comes from the tree's ( bugs/flies ect.) which translates to topwater baits. Also the other main food is worms (which translates to senko's and power worms ect.) and the other main food is the panfish or the small fish in the pond ( which translates to crankbaits and spinnerbaits so that means try getting crankbaits with the same color at the baitfish in the pond , like if there is bream try chartruse colors). with senkos try getting a dark color and texas rig it with out any weights and for youre retrieval just twitch it and pause. With youre crankbaits do not use a straight normal retrieval try a yo-yo retrieval or a stop and go retrieval with 3 second pauses near cover , or if there is no visable cover cast paralell to the banks and just retrieve em and do the same with senkos ect. If youre still not getting any bites just throw ur lures in the middle of the pond and change spots often when youre throwing youre lures in the middle of the pond. just my $.02
  10. i like the way you put it.
  11. np , and welcome to the boards
  12. i think they flew away... no were do you live , whats the water temp , water clarity , forms of cover? if it has been warm the past cuple of days they are going to be along the banks , or holding tight to cover during the heat of the day. if it has been cold they are going to be alittle deep in cover. just my .04
  13. welcome , you should try to find a pond and since its cold up there go for a slower presentation bait like a senko. get the senko t-rigged without the weights and throw it in cover , some ponds dont have visable cover so just throw it along the shore/bank and twitch it or w.e. slowly. for youre shore fishing throw a worm or senko , possibly jig-n-pig along the shore line , banks , and most of all any form of cover. just my .02
  14. i read from an article somewhere that the red hooks resemble the gills of baitfish and/or can resemble bleeding baits , i personaly only use red hooks because those are the only hooks at my walmart made for t-rig stuff and they work very very well.
