My only regret is not buying something in the 20/21 foot class.

Been looking on other sites, the Dobyns seems to be highly thought of. Will match it with a Curado, time to get going. Completely agree With Dink, I have a St. Croix Mojo Bass, excellent with Sencos.

Looking for a casting rod mainly for Spinner Baits up to 3/4 ounce. Need it to be 7' +/- and in the $125 range. I have looked at Dobyns, Okuma, St. Croix, and everything else on line. What say the local brain trust.

Hey guys, there is no correct way to back a trailer. I use my mirrors with right hand on bottom of wheel but that is me. Start with what seems comfortable and practice practice and practice some more. One last note, small slow movement of the wheel makes for a straighter line.

I would replace the water pump impeller.

I am running the same rig in a 2010 model. Run a bottle of Sea Foam through it first. If you have not done it yet replace the fuel filter. The only issue I have had with mine is Coil #2 went away, easy fix.

Sorry for leaving out some pertinent information. It is a 2010. It averages 3 days a week on the water. I seldom run it over 4600 RPM. It is run on Lake Shasta so it may make some long runs at 40mph. Just trying to get a handle on hours I can look for.

Currently running an Optimax 115. How many hours can I expect this motor to last? Thanks in advance for any information.

The oil recommended for the lower unit is totally different from 2cycle oil mixed/injected with fuel. Oil designed for the lower unit uses an additive that will absorb water or I would use Mobil 1 90 weight gear oil. Currently Mercury recommends "Mercury 90 weight High Performance Gear Oil". I I say currently because it seems Mercury upgrades their recommendations on a regular schedule.

I have foul hooked many fish. The largest was a 13 lb Squaw fish on a jig while working structure of a long submerged bridge for spots on Shasta Lake. The hook snagged him in the lower jaw. The most surprising was a small mouth hooked on top of the head with a Shaky head 7" worm. 60 years ago (yea, I am an old guy) I snagged a 10 lb carp in the East Walker river between Bridgeport and Nevada border using a night crawler. I guess the wildest was a 9 lb Steelhead snagged in the dorsal fin fly fishing with a # 14 Copper John. Took forever to land that one. I release everything I catch in fresh water.
