When I walked into the water I just pulled it out of some really thin weeds. Idk how I wasn't able to pull it with my rod because it was super easy with my hand.
Thanks, I was running it parallel so I'm just assuming that since the water was shallower close to shore, the bait just dove too deep and wedged into the rocks
I fished a crankbait today from shore on a very rocky bank and only took 2 casts before it got hung u and I had to go waist deep to retrieve it. I was trying to bump it off rocks, wood, etc. but it would always get hung up on something at the very end of my retrieve... I thought crankbaits aren't supposed to do that especially a lucky craft. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Is it bad to use braid with a short leader with cranks? Can I get away with it? What's the difference between braid and fluoro other that abrasion resistance when it comes to square bills. I would think it would make the bait dive deeper because of the super thin diameter. Thanks
I just recently fished this lake with no success and was wondering what area you guys would target first and with what bait if you were to fish this lake. (Relatively clear with trout stockings).
I lost a ratltrap a few weeks ago that had the paint all chipped and that I had for more than 3 years. It was my first real hard lure and by far my favorite lure even though I could easily buy a new one. Wanna know what I did to get my baby back tho? My dad happened to have a mask in his car and I stripped down to my underwear and went swimming down to it! I eventually got it back, probably one of my favorite fishing moments of all time.
