Hi guys,
I am out in Greenwich visiting family this week and was wondering if any of you could help me out with some spots to spend some time fishing. Appreciate the help!
Thanks,
Ben
It is a little bit too cold for topwater unfortunately
It is a weird situation because all of my local lakes are down 30+ feet although it is raining so heavily. I am located in the Bay Area FYI.
It has been going in and out of rain every couple hours for the past week with extremely hard rains during the night and I haven't been able to catch fish. Air temp is about 45 degrees throughout the day. How should I approach this situation? The only bites I have gotten have been casting towards air pumps near a dam in deep water with a shakey head (I am on the shore). Any suggestions? Thanks!
If you are willing to drive to Marin County I'd definitely give Kent Lake a shot, I've never been skunked there. Hike in to the Dam and fish the dam in the morning. If you are willing to hike some more then you can.
Do you think that using a 12lb fluoro leader is too light for flipping and throwing swimbaits on a 7'8 Heavy rod? I normally fish ultra clear water so I need to go relatively light. Thanks!
Don't fish moving baits in that situation. My go-to is a neko-rigged 6in Roboworm. Pitch it a few feet in front and work it slow and you might get bit, if not move on because the fish is lockjaw.
How fast do you guys give up on a pond when you are pond hopping? I like to fish small farm ponds in my area and I never know when to give up. Obviously, if I'm catching fish I'll stay for a while but if not, how long should I wait? Do you like to switch presentations multiple times or just move on? Thanks!
Hi all, I'm moving schools to a school in Pebble Beach and was wondering if there are any good bass fishing lakes/ponds nearby. The only one I really saw was Forest Lake which looked really iffy. Thanks!
