  1. Has anyone ever seen this before? I'm interested in any info that could help find what it was called and who might have made it. I'm hoping it wasn't a diy, home built, first ever prototype bladed jig. haha Thanks guys.
  2. My first 8 were all in their individual bubble packages, and sealed quite well too.
  3. Thanks for the heads up...
  4. I placed my order for in-store pickup and should be here in the next few days... Even though my store has stock of these (not for sale until the, "spring classic"), I guess the warehouse has to ship my order to the store then I get to pick it up. I plan on repainting most of them anyways.
  5. /\ You're lucky then. My Cabelas shows them in stock, drove over there, only to be told they took them off the shelf and put all of them in the back. "You can't buy them until the sale starts now"... even though they have been on the shelf for sale from when they got them in a while back. Why would you not want to be selling a product when you have the chance and instead now save it for later? You've already had it on the shelf awhile for sale. ( stupidity) It's not like they were running out of them if they were just sitting on the shelf/peg.
  6. Most times but not always, surface ice forms in the calmest water first... The bank that blocks the wind will freeze before the open water with waves rolling through in the middle.
  7. I shouldn't have added all the extra links to past years after this current one. I just thought people would like to see that in the past there had been better deals. And it was merely by chance I found it, I was changing numbers the in last years link and found that 19 into 20 (to my surprise) opened up. lol Then I tried going backwards and 18' & 17' worked. And since it is probably not supposed to be found and view-able to the public yet, they could go in and change or add information to it (Like putting 2020 on the cover)
  8. And just for fun... 2018 - https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/online-catalogs?catalogCode=BassPro/SFC_18_19_tab & 2017 (oldest one that works) https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/online-catalogs?catalogCode=BassPro/SFC_17_19_tab
  9. & if you want to compare it to last years .... https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/online-catalogs?catalogCode=BassPro/SFC_19_36_tab
  10. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/online-catalogs?catalogCode=BassPro/SFC_20_19_tab
  11. Works & I didn't even need anything!!!! But... thanks to the bait monkey. Pretty good (4 @ 4.83 & no shipping.)
  12. I didn't even need the flippin jigs with 50+ already in the boat.... But with the 50% sale for the heads it made them: .88 - jig head .05 - band .40 - Rattles .56 - skirt @ $1.89 per jig / that's how it got out of hand. Couldn't pass it up. HaHa
  13. Same as above, I just dropped $200 and got enough jig/spinnerbait heads and material to make my own skirts. I made: 24 swim jigs 68 Wood Walker flippin jigs (50% off were on the sizes I use even) 8 spinner baits 6 weed eater skirted weights Extra skirts for other lures & includes the (bands, rattles, blades, etc) needed It started with a simple order for making 12 swim jigs...then I had to start an excel spreadsheet when it got out of hand and I had shrink the order to get it were I did. lol (but it helped immensely for ordering the exact amounts for what I was making) If I can figure it out, I'll attach the spread sheet... Jig build order tracker.xlsx
  14. You didn't miss anything, I think they were made just for this sale. They didn't have the usual stamped Booyah blades.... Just cheap plain ones. After seeing them I passed. I didn't really care since I buy components and build my own spinnerbaits. The only thing I bought was 3 Flueger Pres. #30 reels for $39.99 each with trade-in's. Someone earlier in the day complained that the ad was misleading, so they proceeded to sell all sizes for the same price as just what the 20 model should have been. Worked for me.
  15. Last Monday found 42* water and surprisingly most fish were caught on 4.8" swimbaits and crankbaits... no jerkbait fish at all, weird. Now have to wait for it to thaw again. lol
  16. Ha ha, I think 80-90% of the lakes I fish, all year, are not even 25 feet deep. But the bait does need to bump the bottom not just get down to it...
  17. Do the people with docks and boats out there normally leave you alone? The one and only time I ever went to Eureka lake, almost every person there had a God complex and would come out running, yelling, and throw things at you if you even got within 20yds of there dock.
  18. That size boat is fine, I've had the 10' out there many times. Just don't get disappointed if you find 5-7+ other boats there on the weekend along with a trailer park full of people camping (fishing from the bank). I only go mid-week maybe twice a year now and there's still 3-4 boats out there. But my PB (7.2 lbs) came from here 16 years ago. Have fun.
  19. Does anyone know the group that fishes tournaments at the small lakes like Eureka? They were at Sedan yesterday (4-28).... I would just like a list of lakes and dates they use so I can avoid them like the plague. I purposely fish during the week but on the random chance I have to go on a Saturday I would like to save my time driving just to run into them and have (choose) to drive onto somewhere else. But really, 8+ boats on a 70 acre lake, sure that sounds like fun. lol... To each their own.
  20. Was too nice of a day to stay home, but I had no desire to be around any other boats (I'm talking about you CC) The water temp in the small lake in the SE part of the state was sitting around 39* It was a good day with 23 bass caught but the biggest were only just over 2-1/2lbs. Cannot beat that for a January day and had the whole lake to our self. Mostly jerkbaits and shakyheads with an occasional swimbait fish. Tried to catch some crappie in the trees that where on the depthfinder with tiny 1/16 jigs but the bass kept hitting them, never caught any crappie. ha ha Hope everyone has a great year. And we get some rain sooner than later.
  21. I'm not even close to good. But... I do believe I have the ability to be put on any body of water any time of the year and find the bass. It would be very disappointing if I blanked on a day, but I will have gained knowledge from it to get me one more step closer to being "good".
  22. The three lakes we hit this week (<600 acres & in the SE part of the state) ranged from 43*- 47*.... Not bad for the start of Feb. Jerk-baits & drop-shots produced.
  23. Here is our “Day on the lake” report for Tues. the 31st. This was our first trip of the year and the very first time we have ever been to CC lake. We only fish for bass unless a crappie or some other stupid fish gets in the way. (And we don’t consider channel fish since they don’t have scales!!) haha Late start and in no hurry to get on the water.... since the air was still colder early in the morning. By the time we arrived around 9:15 it appeared everyone that was going to be fishing today was already here. (about 11 other boats minus the one that put in, couldn’t get started, and ended up leaving.) Guard shack said there was 11 the day before also. Started the day heading up toward the warm water outlet. Mainly to see how many boats wanted to be in the same small space and then surprised that there was only 3. The end of the jetty was around 53* to 55* and warming heading in. Stopped for just a few min to throw a few traps and cranks. I was just not comfortable here. My wheelhouse is dirty, shallow water, with some sort of structure. The water at the outlet had about 8+feet of visibility, was deeper then what I like to fish, and even if fish are biting in a spot I still prefer to find an area away from others. So we set out to find exactly that. Headed North towards the bridge, hugging the left bank to avoid the eagles that were hanging out, thinking the water would be more to my liking. Made it to the bridge to find 1-2’ visibility. Trees that started in about 1 ½’ to 2’ and extended all the way out into the lake to around 10 or so feet. The water here was 47 deg. and an added bonus of no other boats. Starting shallow and working our way out: first bass came in 4 ½ feet, Soon after I picked up three more in a 50yd stretch. All four were just shy of 2lbs. We kept slowly moving farther out fishing deeper to 7’-9’ with no more fish. We now had our pattern set for the rest of the day. From this point on we run and gunned tree lines coming off the bank but only fishing the 3’ to 6’ range. Every place we stopped we picked up at least one if not two or more fish. Other than my dad’s single rattletrap fish all of the bass were caught on a 3/8oz jig… He caught the biggest that went 3.69 lbs Overall we had a good day. If I was to change anything it would have been to just show up earlier to get those extra 2 hours that we missed. Oh… and it would have been nice to know beforehand that there is good size rocks "on top" of the boat ramp, so I would not have accidentally taken a ¼”x 3” chunk out of the skeg. I would also like to thank Ondrejka for kindly answering the few questions I had when researching for this trip. Thank You.
