  1. Hey guys, I'm looking at a new specific reel that only comes in 7.3:1, and is 30 inches per crank, could I use this for swimjigs, chatterbaits and spinnerbaits or should I just find a 6.3:1 instead, another question; what gear ratio should I use for belly weighted swimbaits like rage swimmers?? Thanks
  2. Zillion for days,it casts much further than chronarch and is hard to backlash cause of the sv spool
  3. Look at Diawa's sv spool lineup, very hard to backlash while using light lures like a fluke and it bombs them as well, they have a tatula sv tw for 199 on tackle warehouse but you could find it cheaper, as for the rod I'd go with a medium power fast action like they all said
  4. Hey guys, looking to get a new reel in 280$ range it's down to 2 now the Shimano chronarch mgl or the lews tlm1h magnesium, the main thing I'm looking for is casting distance cause I am a pond bank angler and I need to reach it out there sometimes, if any of you guys could give me input it would help a lot, or if you suggest another reel in hat range that works too, currently on way to bass pro to see..
  5. Hey guys I have a Powell max3d in 6'8 mh extra fast and I've had it for about 4 months now and for some reason it has gone from a mh x fast to like a medium medium.. I baby my rod and take good care of it and I don't know how this happened, if you know what's wrong please tell me thanks:)
  6. I have a curado and once my reel made a grinding sound and it was the spool. Basically clean the crap out of it.. Clean the shafts and put a small drop of oil on them. Clean the bearing on the palm side of the reel and oil it even clean the outer part of the spool.. Tell me how it goes
  7. Theres two rods I would look into the Powell Max 3D (160$) which I am a bit biased too and the Diawa Tatula rod (150-170). They are both insanely light The Tatula being 3oz and incredibly sensitive. The Powell one would be the 7'2 MH Xtra Fast and the Tatula one would be the 7'2 Heavy Fast
  8. There are a couple of great rods out there for jerkbaits under 100$: Powell Inferno Jerkbait/Crank version (99$) Lews speed stick TP1 (99$) Dobyns fury its 110$ tho The lews lacks in sensitivity.. but is a great rod. The inferno is very sensitive and light. The fury is a tad better than the inferno just because of how balanced it is.. If i had to choose I had only 100$ would go with the Inferno but if I had 10 extra dollars I would go with the Fury..
  9. I have the Max 3D 683 and I absolutely love it for shoreline fishing. 80% of the time I fish shorelines and ponds, its the only rod I bring with me alot of times. The sensitivity is unreal and you can feel the bottom for those bottom contact lures like crazy. You can throw anything on it. Its rated for 3/4 oz but Ive thrown 2 oz swimbaits fine. You cant go wrong with either of the two but the 6'8 would be better for shoreline fishing.
  10. Hey guys im going to get a new rod, the Powell Max 3d mag bass 7'3 Heavy Xtra Fast action.. Do yall think this would be too much for pitching with braid(not flipping...). If so please tell me why.. Thanks
  11. hey man, between those two I would choose the micro magic.. ive fished the micro magic and held both, the micro magic being alot lighter and is very sensitive making it better for your finesse tactics. ive never felt the e6x sensitivity but they arbt known for it. i would recommend the e6x for more rugged bass fishing.. ill throw one out there.. the powell max 3d.. the only length in spinning they have is 7'1.. but they are incredibly sensitve and very light. But between the two i would choose the micro magic.
  12. very true, read the review:) Question, do the sk2 not allow for more sensitivity, are the ecs a lot better??
