  2. Black Friday. Well, I'm a made guy now. Threw one of those Bass Mafia Deep 3700 boxes into the cart this morning.

  5. I didn't get the chance to try the Power Bomb this year, but will be throwing it come spring. As far as the wire being soft, it appears to be the same frame used on the Super V-Flat baits and having played around with it last night, I'm sure it is. I've used the Super V-Flat for a few years now and have probably only had to tune the frame a couple of times after multiple catches. Although they don't state what type of frame they use on the package, if I had to guess I would say they are using titanium wire. The frame reminds me of the frames used on the pre VMC Terminator T1 (I don't have any of the newer ones.) and the Strike King Titanium Elite baits. Their frames (Megabass) sure have the same characteristics of titanium. (flexibility, snapback) I can also store these and any other titanium frame baits in those Plano Spinnerbait boxes without deforming the frames. (I do not recommend this box for stainless frames.) The next time you find you have to "tune" your Power Bomb, hold the upper part of the frame in one hand, line tie between fore finger and thumb, and hold the head of the bait in your other hand, then twist the head, not the frame. This works on the V-Flat and brings the frame back in line with the hook.
  6. Best turkey I ever had. Wishing you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving!
  7. I've got that lure!
  8. Just four, 6" Hoo Daddy in Black Neon, Blackberry Sapphire, Dark Watermelon Neon, and Sooner Run. Oh yeah, add Rage Craws for good measure.
  9. Text again and tell her you hope Santa brings you one.
  10. Clark's Water Scout made in Springfield, MO. 1933-1937 (Dent Eye) I need to attend to that rust on the front hook.
  11. Jitterbug Tee!
  12. Those Senkos are probably bad, you can send them to me and I'll dispose of them for you.
  13. PMCS completed yesterday, I'm ready.
  14. I might take you up on that this spring when I head up to Illinois, detour through Kansas.
  15. Video still from 10 years ago. This girl was pulling drag when my line snapped. (Never use a rubber band to peg your weight.) It felt like it could have been a new PB for me and I dream about it sometimes. I was using a 9" Blackberry Jelly Worm.
  16. Dang @Bluebasser86, you're quiet the yaker! I just visited your channel and watched "Kayak bass fishing Kansas 5/26/2016." Nice, good footage. I use to post on YT, but now I just download to the flash drives for the kids/grandkids. When you going to invite me and the Big Game?
  17. All the responses are good. You're going to have a lot of fun exploring/learning to use a "T-rig." You'll also have a lot of fun assembling/changing your terminal box as you get into other type rigs. Don't forget "Black Friday" sales are coming, be a good time to start your terminal box.
  18. I use the YakAttack Panfish and Panfish Portrait mounts. They provide unlimited camera angle adjustments, however, you have to loosen and tighten Ram knobs to change angles and that can be a challenge on the fly. On top of that, I'm not sure if YakAttack still makes them. The Railblaza system is a much better mount, IMO, because you can easily move the arm to get different angles.
  19. Bring out the Airborne Beer from Bastogne and I'll be right over! (Photo Illinois State Journal)
  20. Take pictures! This will be a good time to make a record of all the structure in the lake, rock piles, etc.
  21. Well, I've began my seasonal fishing this morning, sitting in front of a flat screen. For those of us who can not tolerate the cold, this is closest to fishing we can get. Although it's not the preferred alternative, it can provide some with enough of a fix to hold us over until spring. I hope folks can contribute now and then. This will be my first contribution. Taking B.A.S.S. back to its roots.
  22. Hmmm, I better keep mine in the box.
  23. I don't fish tournaments, but if I did I would go with the SS127. I've always been an Ocean Kayak rider and I own a Big Game II. I enjoy fishing out of it, but it's slow. As far as the rod pod is concerned, I don't know of too many folks who actually use it for rod storage. The only thing I like about the rod pod is that it allows access for mid-haul rigging. You open mine and you'll find a complex electrical wiring harness which provides 12V throughout the haul. I wish they would cut the length of the rod pod in half to allow more deck space. If you don't care about paddling speed, the BG II is a good yak.
