  1. I just heard that all Texas lakes are closed until June 1st, anyone else hear this??
  2. I grew up listening to stories about the Great Depression from my late father and grandfather. My grandfather survived the Great War and the Spanish Flu of 1918 and had many stories that he shared. I've been going over those stories a lot in my head and dreams the past couple of weeks and I've found that they all share a commonality; neighbors helping neighbors. Trust me when I tell you that I am just as scared as the next person for the future, at my age, I don't know if I'll survive this. However, I have faith that our human spirit, our American spirit, will get through this. I've got a gut feeling that this may get worse before it gets better, but as long as we don't lose our humanity, and help each other, we'll get through it.
  3. Going through some boxes in Bass Central (man cave) last night and found these. The tin hooks were not that great, but the lure caught fish.
  4. Our lakes on the wildlife refuge are still open, but the visitor center and ed building are closed.
  5. Unknown-No-More Honor guards fire a salute during the funeral of Seaman 2nd Class Hubert P. Hall, USS Oklahoma, at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Hawaii, Tuesday, March 17, 2020. (Stars & Stripes)
  6. Siebert Jigs
  7. They could, depending on the quality of the kayak. (I doubt it would hurt a Hobie.) I would fix a carabiner to the pole and then affix the carabiner to the anchor trolley.
  8. If game wardens are exposed, do they get quarantined too? Asking for a friend.
  9. Back in the 90s Rapala made a series of INOX (stainless steel) lures, both wood and plastic, that were made by coating the lures with a conductive ink and then electroplated. They were popular among saltwater anglers and those up north going after the toothy critters. The production didn't last long as they found it wasn't cost productive. I have some of the Clown and Red/Black head Magnums that I sometimes use for bass with success. It's too bad they didn't make more of these lures.

  11. Thanks for mentioning the deeper beds in clear water. We've got a couple lakes with gin water and I've directed a few to deeper beds and they acted like I was trying to direct them away from prime spots. I've never seen beds deeper than 15, but have seen a lot of them in the 12' range in that clear water. Enjoy your videos @Glenn, keep them coming!
  12. Did some orange illusion last night.
  13. File format from the new Apple phone?
  14. Fast forward to 17:12 to see damage.
  15. Get well soon!
  16. I've only done it on 1/2oz as that is the only size jigs I use. The foundation does not work in a fluid bed, tried it on the first couple of jigs and there was hardly any black in the silver. For some reason there is separation of the black when using a fluid bed. I poured the foundation back into a small container, stirred it with a stick and dipped the jigs into that, they came out fine after that. I've never used silver vein before, so I don't know if there is a difference or not.
  17. Jig Armor Green Pumpkin Camo.
