  1. Yes, they had a 1 year old daughter and his wife is pregnant. Police arrested a man who they believe is responsible, buffing out damage to his boat in his driveway. No other details available at this time.
  2. Val and Amy Castor, best storm chasers in the country!
  3. Did you see this @jbsoonerfan? This was near Guthrie yesterday. Moisture being pulled up with inflow into a wall cloud.
  4. Like those skirts.
  5. My bad, they found the body and kayak Monday.
  6. I remember that video. Where do you buy it?
  7. This one really got me thinking. I think I'm going out later and picking up one of those hand held air horns to carry beside the seat.
  8. Kayak angler Trace Richardson was killed this past Monday when a power boat hit his kayak in waters off Harbor Island, Texas. When kayaking in waters shared by power boats, make sure you can be seen. (Flag, lights, etc.) He leaves behind a young wife.
  9. Calling you out. Come on folks, set a good example for those thinking about, or just getting into the sport of kayak fishing. Wear a PFD.
  10. Oh yeah, I'd say you had some wind.
  11. Yeah. He's a Marine. As for myself, I'm retired Army and I'm not cutting him any slack. That goes for you too young buck.
  12. If I'm having problems with hooksets, I start at the business end and work back from there.
  13. Yes sir, stay on your toes. Update: You should have seen the old man running for cover when those lightning bolts started falling. Heavy wind and rain with this one. Two inches in one hour, ground can't hold any more.
  14. Honoring those Americans who rest on foreign soil. On the walkway to the overlook at the American Cemetery, Normandy, can be found the following inscription: NOUS N'OUBLIONS PAS, NOUS N'OUBLIERONS JAMAIS, LA DETTE D'INFINIE GRATITUDE QUE NOUS AVONS CONTRACTEE ENVERS CEUX QUI ONT TOUT DONNE POUR NOTRE LIBERATION. René Coty President de la Republique Francaise TRANSLATION WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN, WE WILL NEVER FORGET, THE DEBT OF INFINITE GRATITUDE THAT WE HAVE CONTRACTED WITH THOSE WHO GAVE EVERYTHING FOR OUR FREEDOM.
  15. I've heard that the Bonafide shines in rivers and streams.
  16. Dredge Series, I'm definitely a fan!
  17. As many of you already know, Oklahoma has experienced a wicked May, weather wise. I've lived here going on 25 years and I do not remember it ever being like this. I hate to admit it, but when it comes to fishing flooded lakes, I feel like a rookie. Ran into a few other anglers yesterday leaving one of the lakes at our refuge as I was getting ready to launch. They all reported the same experience as I found later, the bass are all over the place. Under normal conditions I usually know where the fish are at any period during the year, but with this extremely high water, I feel like I'm throwing darts. When I checked out known structure where post spawn bass normally retreat, they're not there. I checked out a lot of the newly submerged shore line and saw a few bucks, but no post spawn. The month of June is going to be interesting.
  18. Looks like El Reno, OK was hit last night.
  19. Please remember the price paid for this holiday weekend.
  20. Next time you're up at Table Rock, if you find this lure around the Aunts Creek area, put it away for me. I lost it several years ago and would like to get it back. It was my goto lure.
  21. Doesn't matter. I like the DD22 for those times when I want to crank down into that structure and not worry about losing it. A lot cheaper than the LC and MB deep cranks and just as effective. I've got LC and MB divers, but sometimes that bottom structure gets gnarly, and that's when I tie on a Norman.
