  1. Black Friday sales are right around the corner, save yourself some coin when you buy.
  2. That's a pole bender! What's on the other end of that line?
  3. I used it all summer, 3-4 nights a week, top water frogs and pitching in the trash at night. It still repels water and has not lost any of it's original color. Still a little stiff on the first couple of casts, but that works its self out rather quickly on subsequent casts. Smoothest braid I've ever used, I'm not going back to Power Pro. I sent all my Power Pro to my brother along with a 200 yds spool of the Sunline I made up. He put all his Power Pro plus the Power Pro I sent out in a garage sale last month. I still have 200+ yds of the Sunline left on the spool and am debating on buying more, this line is going to last. I've got it on my frog rod and on one of my pitching rods, they will not be respooled for next season. Sunline XPlasma Asegai is the "Bee's Knees," and definitely worth the coin.
  4. Well said @A-Jay!
  5. I think I have every episode of the "Fishin Hole" so, he'll always be sitting next to fireplace in my home. Rest In Peace Jerry.
  6. OK, then my next choice would be the OG style balsa squarebill, the Big-Z. This is a 3" fat bodied, 1oz balsa crank that I like using during pre-spawn, especially around off shore timber. Make sure you have your lure retriever, these will put a good dent in your wallet.
  7. Nice
  8. This isn't slow, you want slow? Try using an old TRS80 and having to know some Basic Language to get around. 4 MHz and dial-up, wow that was fast!
  9. 40 unpainted Dredge (20 Brush, 20 G2 Football) jigs came today. Bring on the powder paint! (Thanks for the extra weed guards, Mike! @Siebert Outdoors)
  10. There's five cups of spinach, four whole carrots, and two apples in this. Looks bad, but taste good. I drink it every day...after I've had my cup of "Joe" of course.
  11. Sitting here enjoying that cup of "Joe." Already have my running shoes on and will be hitting the track soon. I like running in the dark because if someone sees me I look like a young stud instead of the old fart that I really am.
  12. Wish I could provide some insight, but I have no knowledge about those kayaks. (Die hard Ocean Kayak user) However, I would like to encourage you to consider a good fitting PFD. Have fun in your new kayak next spring!
  13. Well, I'm going to set my vise up in front of the lap top and follow along with @smalljaw67 on YT and learn how to do it. I've always wanted to use thread instead of wire on my jigs and also I want to dress my own trebles. I'm going to master the whip finish come hell or high water. I've also watched this video a few times. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8PwX71zzkM
  14. Once in awhile I'll hear someone say that "our younger generation doesn't have what it takes..." Well, I beg to differ. Came across this act of courage today and knowing that there are young men like then, 19 year old Richard Weinmaster, out there, makes me sleep better at night. Please read the excerpt from his Navy Cross citation below. "...serving as Automatic Rifleman, 3d Platoon, Company E, Second Battalion, Seventh Marines, in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM on 8 July 2008. PFC Weinmaster's squad was conducting a dismounted patrol down a narrow side street in the Sangin District of Helmand Province, Afghanistan, when enemy forces ambushed the squad with machine gun fire and hand grenades. Upon contact, PFC Weinmaster immediately began engaging the enemy positions with his squad automatic weapon. As he delivered suppressive fire and assaulted the enemy, encountering a withering volume of fire, PFC Weinmaster saw two grenades tossed over a wall land in the middle of his patrol. Noting where one of the grenades landed, he quickly placed himself between the grenade and his fire team leader, using his body to shield both his team leader and several other Marines from the blast. PFC Weinmaster was seriously injured when the grenade detonated, but his valorous actions prevented his fire team leader from receiving any shrapnel. Although he was critically wounded, PFC Weinmaster continued to carry on the attack, engaging enemy forces with accurate automatic weapons fire and forcing them to break contact, until he collapsed from the gravity of his wounds."
  15. I'm always having to say this to wife when she complains about my desk.
  16. In 16+ years, when you're standing in front of the mirror looking at that white beard, you'll be saying, "Wow, that went by fast!" Not sure if I'll be around to see you retire, so, have a cup of "Joe" on me today.
  17. I have nothing but good things to say about plumbers, they saved my rear a few times over the years. Me, I'm just a retired angel.
  18. Me too. I also yell out "Boomer Sooner," that seems to put them in shock and I can easily bring em out of the brush.
  19. Just got your notice, Mike @Siebert Outdoors. I'm smiling already.
  20. Wife had family here, I deal with it. Old soldiers never die, they just fade away. (It's a habit.)
  21. LOL, yeah, rough. It was rough getting here.
