  1. Tomorrow, November 11th, is Veterans Day. To all my brothers and sisters, both past and present, who not only swore an oath to our country, but also to each other.

  2. Deps SS250, 6oz, what are you using to throw that beast on?
  3. Full belly from the buffalo roast your wife cooks, soft buffalo blanket to lay on next to a warm fire, yeah, teepee livin ain't half bad.
  4. What's a netbook?
  5. My old 14 year old laptop started coughing today, so my daughter brought me a new one. I can't get over how good BR looks on this bigger screen. I have to catch up on using the new browser and new keyboard, but if the rest of the world looks as good as this as runs as fast as this, I might upgrade to some faster baitcasters. Heck, I might even take up Teepee living!
  6. I'm tracking.
  7. These look great @Bluebasser86! (especially the blue ones) Good Trade!
  8. 90% of my fishing this year was at night and the winner is the Spro King Daddy frog in Black Rainforest or all black. Others: 9" Blackberry Jelly Worm 6" HooDaddy, Back Neon and Blackberry Saphire Sieberts Dredge jigs Gantarel Jr
  9. I wish they would bring those back. I had (key word "had") one in blood Table Rock. Good producer when I "had" one.
  10. Well, in the Army we'd say your work area passed inspection with flying colors. Very well organized.
  11. By chance, were you ever in the military?
  12. Dagnabit, I've been a fan of Bill Dance since 1967, I'm going to buy me one of those hats!
  13. I've got an old Triple Trout, purchased back when there were waiting lines, and the paint is just about gone off the bait. I remember being a little disappointed when I first got it, thinking that it wouldn't win any beauty contest, but it did swim great and landed fish. I see now they are making them using resin instead of wood and am thinking of trying the newer ones. I'm just wondering if the performance is as good as the older wood models.
  14. Although mine has long been retired, I've landed bass on trout colored baits where there were no trout. The same goes with shad and blue gill style baits. Bass are opportunistic predators and will go after almost anything you put on the menu. Matching the hatch is always something to think about, but don't be afraid to stray outside that box.
  15. I've also had very good results pegging a skirted BOSS Hub against the hook.
  16. Now it's working too fast, my brain can't keep up.
  17. I put up a nice air brush in the flea market topic if anyone is interested.
  18. Sorry, I guess the Catt is out of the bag now.
  19. Chuck Justice, a guide on McGee Creek Lake, OK and Lake Fork, TX turned me on to Gene Larew's 6" HooDaddy several years ago and it is my go to creature. Tie one of those on and it's "Hammer Time."
  20. Marlin Model 55, 10 ga goose gun.
  21. It dawned on me a couple of days ago that Veterans Day is right around the corner, this coming Monday as a matter of fact. For the past several years I’ve always lost sleep during that 24 or so hours on this day as I spend it both calling and taking calls from old Army buddies. One of them, an old Colonel, has even organized conference calls which is always nice. We’ll spend hours sharing stories, remembering friends lost, laughing and crying. We’ve even made plans to visit a couple of fallen friends at Arlington, although a date hasn’t been set yet. Maybe we’ll lock one down this year. Our wives, including mine, know to give us our space during these conversations as those times and experiences can only be shared with our friends who were there. By the time November the 12th rolls around, our conversations will be forgotten until the following year, but our special bond will not. So, should you know of a friend who once shared their canteen with you or marched alongside you, give them a call on this Veterans Day and let them know you’re thinking of them. It is a special day for those of us who were there not only for country, but more so for each other. It is a day where our bonds should be reaffirmed. Happy Veterans Day.
  22. Stuff your blender with crawfish and turn it on the highest setting...that's what this stuff smells like. Bass love it.
