  1. Hey A-Jay, long time no see! (Had family Covid issues.) We're not active here because of the wind. Every time I think I can launch my Yaks I'm looking at 25-30 mph winds. (Typical Oklahoma spring.)
  2. My 590...
  3. Thanks for sharing A-Jay! Heat injuries are no joke. I carry Liquid I.V. (Electrolyte Powder) as part of my vehicle aid bag and IFAK (kayak). It's good stuff and it works.
  4. Central region, Middle East, November 13, 1995. A member of our team, Sergeant First Class David Warrell, Special Forces Weapons Sergeant from Fayetteville, North Carolina. He is remembered on the wall at the Special Operations Memorial, MacDill AFB. You are not forgotten brother.
  5. Of course, but up there where you're at, it's called the Missouri rig.
  6. I hear ya. Even before I was retired I stayed off the water on Memorial Day weekend, too much drama for me. Now that I'm retired I can let the working stiffs have the weekends. Today I'll probably just sit in my truck and talk with that girl on OnStar.
  7. I use the Oklahoma Rig, same as a Texas Rig only better.
  8. The National Moment of Remembrance is an annual event that asks Americans, wherever they are at 3:00 p.m. local time on Memorial Day, to pause for a duration of one minute to remember those who have died in military service to the United States. "For the fallen to not be forgotten, we must be their voice. This Memorial Day, remember to tell their stories." MANSIONS of the LORD To fallen soldiers let us sing Where no rockets fly nor bullets wing Our broken brothers let us bring To the mansions of the Lord No more bleeding, no more fight No prayers pleading through the night Just divine embrace, eternal light In the mansions of the lord Where no mothers cry And no children weep We shall stand and guard through the angels sleep While through the ages safely keep The mansions of the lord

  9. Honor the fallen this weekend.
  10. Like that crappie color!
  11. I let the crawfish tell me what color to pitch/flip. Changes throughout the season.
  12. Rapala Risto Raps, RR5/RR7. These cranks have landed me a lot of fish and when I first heard they were being discontinued I stocked up. (sitting on 300+ NIB) I call them a Shad Rap on steroids.
  13. I caught my first bass on that very worm! I haven't used the Creme worm in many years, but I still have some NOS vintage 60s Creme worms in the package.
  14. 12" Blackberry Jelly Worm.
  15. These are good baits. Do not be afraid the run it along the wood.
  16. Use tungsten if you can drop the coin, if not, use what you have and adapt.
  17. Good writing A-Jay. Night fishing is about the only way to beat the heat down here in the summer. "I own the night!"
  18. Speaking of fires, my Silverado is packing...
  19. Good read, especially section on over the air charging.
  20. Black trucks rule!
  21. Ford's base model will run 39K and I'm betting there will be sizeable government rebates as an incentive to get folks to switch.
  22. After seeing this release earlier this week and knowing that GM will be following with their version soon, I am both feeling a little depressed and experiencing a lot of anxiety. So many questions; how many more years will our gas powered trucks have access to affordable fuel, will a tax be imposed on our trucks as a way to nudge us towards an electric vehicle, etc? We can debate the climate issue until hell freezes over, but the fact remains, our vehicles are going electric, with or without our acceptance. For us old farts that can remember 25 cent gasoline and the gas station attendant running out to check your oil and clean your windshield, this evolution is going to hurt even more I think. The sound of a well tuned V8, the roar of a straight pipe, the stare down at the red light as you challenge each other to "punch it," the monster truck shows, all gone the way of the dinosaurs. I accept the fact that our planet has to come first, but God how I will miss it so. (My V8) The wife and I have decided to make the change, but I'm going to wait and see what Chevy comes out with. I wonder if they will call the front end a "Frunk" too?
  23. I had to replace a mailbox inside our brick enclosure last month. Before placing the new box inside the enclosure, one of my granddaughters placed her time capsule, consisting of photos, small toys, and drawings inside.
