  1. Pulled my buddy around the lake this past weekend!
  2. Thanks, I have searched the web a few times. I have found everything but what I am looking for. One would think that you could find a drop in style like any other bass boat.
  3. I am wondering if there are aftermarket drop in livewells? My boat is a panfish model and has three bait livewells, no large livewell. i would like to add a good livewell. I am not using a cooler or anything like that. i used to fish local tournaments and would like to enter a few but I need a livewell. Any help would be appreciated.
  4. Well that explains why I had a bad day Saturday. I had a banana in the boat! I am not superstitious but I have had that 1st cast fish also. I cringe when I think about it due to the fact it is usually a rough day. Like other have said though, I bet I fell in a trap of not trying to find THE pattern. Used that one fish to setup my day!
  5. I have a Columbia set that is great. I was in the same boat as you. Wanted a good set but not breaking the bank. Found Columbia pants for $35 and the Jacket for $35. They were at a local Columbia outlet. End of season clearance. If you look on line you can find the same or close to price on their rain gear.
  6. Yeah I have been the non-boaters all my life. Got a great deal on this boat last year. So I became a boater now and can understand why people go back to the non-boater status. My biggest problem in the past was that I want to go out all the time but not having the boat obviously limited that. Now I have a boat and can go when I want. I just realized there is a little more behind it than just having a boat! Oh well, guess you have to pay to play!
  7. So in February, we had a warm snap and got me itching to go fishing. Decided that I better check the boat out in case the weather changed for the better again. Uncovered the boat and started cleaning things up and trued out the trolling motor, nothing. Thought what in the world! Messed with it on and off for about a week and couldn't figure it out. Had a feeling it was probably the circuit board in the foot control. Took the motor off and took it to a local service shop. Yep it was the circuit board. Got it fixed and remounted the motor. Ran good but the weather turned cold again so just have to wait till the weather to break again. Well this weekend is to be in the upper 60's, time to get the boat out. Started to pack some rods and gear in the boat. For some reason I decided to test the trolling motor again. Barely would move the prop. Checked the batteries, one of the batteries was not even trying to charge. Took it out and to the store I went. Battery is bad, not even a year old yet. They gave me a new battery also I bought another new one cause my one battery is not that great. Hope I have the bugs worked out now. Wow what a pain, guess it is better to find out before I go than finding out on the water! On the bright side the big motor fired right up and is running good! I just want to go fishing !
  8. Congrats on those huge musky's! Its great when your not even targeting them and you land one of those giants let alone 3 of them!
  9. I agree awesome show. That was a stacked final! Biggest names in bass fishing. Congrats to Ike! Glad that he showed emotion on the win, showed true respect for his competition! Love the show, best tournament show out there.
  10. I have though about turning music on while fishing but never do. I don't want to miss something cause I am distracted by the music. i like the sound of the water and other boats going by. I am usually fishing with someone so we are normally talking fishing so it keeps the day entertaining. If things begin to become uninteresting it time to move to a new spot.
  11. Looks like that pickerel is eating well. That is one of the biggest pickerel I have seen in a long time. We catch some in my area but no where near that size! Looked like a blast!
  12. Great! After reading this, I am sure the bait monkey is going to get me the next time I am near DSG!
  13. Glad you made to the ramp when you did. Those storms are nothing to mess with. Lancaster seems to get hit by those storms all the time. If they are calling for bad weather, you can almost bet that Lancaster will get hit.
  14. The 1st bass and the crappie were. The others were on a jerkbait.
