  1. Pretty cool I think! That's a fun project.
  2. I would use Loctite construction adhesive in a tube from Depot/Lowes/Menards.
  3. Outstanding job! What a project for you and your stepson. I wish someone taught me some of the skills used when I was a younger lad!
  4. It only takes two screws to stop having to chase it around the deck. Next boat will have a recessed pedal. Unfortunately I can't do that on this Xpress model.
  5. Age alone would make me lean towards the Crestliner. Consider the layout too!
  6. Ground! Ground! Might be a ground! Did you say the lights were not mounted on the trailer?
  7. When new the pin is tough to move out of the locked position!!!
  8. Good stuff, thanks for getting us opinions from those who do it for a living!
  9. I use braid on ALL spinning gear. Casting gear too! Once in a while a radiocarbon leader!
  10. X 3 or 4, no issues at all with Power Pro 20 lb on spinning gear I would look for another issue than the line being your culprit!
  11. I must agree with Gerald. I have about 3,000 hours in military helicopters and I kept those wipes in my helmet bag. Nothing worse than 20 grit turds!
  12. Congrats Travis, that's a much meatier fish there!
  13. Hmmmm, shore lunch! Looks like you had a good time all things considered. Good job sir!
  14. Looks like a decent day anyway. With your superior fishing skills maybe you should just pack up that bag you left at home in a box and mail it to me! Let me know what it cost to mail it to NC. I'll be a nice guy and reimburse you!?
  15. Looks fantastic!
  16. You'll be quite pleased with Lund's quality. Good luck!
  17. Peterson's at Five Points in Union NJ. That was 45 years ago, I hope they're still there!
  18. My sincere condolences to you and the family. When a child's life is taken it's difficult to understand the Big Guy's plan!
  19. They similarly changed automobile engine power ratings from the crankshaft to the rear wheel. As Way2slow stated we used to be challenged getting our race cars to 1 hp per cu.in. Today the 440 in my Dart makes nearly 2 hp per cu.in. without anything special. Guys with little Suburu WRXs are getting almost 4 hp per cu.in.. Scary fast!
  20. It was MY honor sir!
  21. When superglue first became available in the late 60s or early 70s, I must've learned 3 or 4 times how easy it is to glue your fingers together or to whatever I was trying to repair.
  22. Thank you for remembering those brothers and sisters who have given ALL they had for us to enjoy the finest standard of living the world has ever known! They're watch is done! THANK YOU!
  23. I have been using a drop of super glue on leader knots. I am just getting back into fishing anyway so this year I am doing a whole bunch of things for the first time anyway. Whether I continue it or not is get to be seen. I keep the glue around for some plastic bait applications anyway. Good to hear what others are doing too!
  24. Rapala 3 Tool set with magnetic holder (Diagonal cutter/Forcep pliers/Scissors type line cutter) from TW For split rings use a Texas Tools Split Ring Plier
